Bob Gray Posted February 8, 2009 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Hi All In October last year Paul Newell asked if the two aileron outputs of the AR500 are a simple Y type connection or separately programmable from, typically a DX7 to give flaperon or brake facilities. Tim Mackey Posted February 10, 2009 Share Posted February 10, 2009 It is a 5 channel rx - so if you are using all 5 functions already then no - the "extra aielron channel is "Y" leaded to the other aileron channel internally, however there is a dedicated gear channel. Eric Strefford Posted February 22, 2009 Share Posted February 22, 2009 This receiver does have a 5th channel for gear as well as the additional outlet for another aileron servo. Just bought one and checked it out on the bench. You are correct in that the additional aileron channel is effectively a Y lead so you cannot reverse the additional aileron servo you will have to check direction etc the old way by linkage setup.
