Electric twin, some people have no idea!

Recommended Posts

Chris,

I’m sorry about your UBECs, that must have been bit of a shock at the time, to say the least. I’m not sure that I’ve ever mentioned UBECs, so far I’ve never had a run in with any of these yet but I will do so as soon as I get the opportunity. As far as proving a point goes I’ve only ever done this sort of stuff just to find out what I consider really happens; the results themselves proved the point, I didn’t……  I certainly wouldn’t advise anyone to not disconnect any red wires but if they wanted to leave them intact simply because that’s what I do then that would be their prerogative.

Why do you think the tests are biased? I try and make them as firm as I can without going overboard; witness the 7V stress test. I could have gone higher, 107V even, but that would/could have been just wanton destruction. I used a variable bench supply so I turned the current supply wick right down to just a few milliamps limit so in the event of something going short circuit things would not start getting hot. Max safety throughout.

I will return in due course with some new facts and figures as a result of tinkering with some new kit.

PB
