Kim Gouldstone 1
I have just seen an FS8 Co-Pilot RC Helicopter Autopilot on eBay. This seems ideal for a new pilot to get started flying without crashing. Has anybody any experience of using one of these?
DON WILSON
hi kim no, BUT........................... you need to be able to fly to set it up mate, these are designed for scale etc with flybarless heads, google radds for flight training, it will save you a lot of dosh, there is no short cut to flying helis, only the long, hard, expensive, route we all took I'm afraid, get a fixed pitch - df4 or esky honey bee, they are good trainers and cheap to repair, easy to setup. reagrds don
Delta Whiskey
I agree with Don, I went straight in with a 6 ch ccpm model, although it was cheap, I never got to fly it, I then went on to but a 450 size Trex copy, but got it setup professionally, and had a first hover lesson at £25 an hour, thinking it would save me money in the long run - it did! I then got phoenix flight sim, (should have got that first I hear you say), before buying a raptor 50, a year later, I'm now doing flips and loops! Enjoy !
