J V R
Took the fling wing out the other day but it dived into the ground after release, fixed it took it out again early today had it flying around, came down for a battery change & made the mistake of changing the trim so on the next launch it dived again, quite a bit of damage this time. I am thinking about making a scaled up version with undercarriage to make take off a bit easier, where would be the best point to mount the wheels. If I scale up by 30% what would be the best size of motor to use or dose that depend on the finished weight. Can anyone help??
David Ashby - Moderator
Think of watts/lb and you'll not go far wrong JVR. I'm not aware of any enlarged Fling Wings but I should think it'll fly very well. Wheels? Tricycle I assume? I think I'd still go for hand launch and that cleaner airframe will fly better with out 'em too.
J V R
It's the hand launch thats caused the problem + me fidding with the trims, when it flew it was quite stable even at 1/2 power
