Snorbitz
Has anyone got any idea what the ideal temp is for the sealing iron when solartexing a model? Edited By Paul Corbett on 15/07/2009 12:32:

Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
You'll find it very easy to use Paul......I covered my last model in it (first time I'd used it in over 30 years of modelling!!!) & I was amazed at how easy it was..... Heed the bit that says don't overheat it though....!!!
Snorbitz
I've just bought a standard Iron from the Argos value range for just £3.80!!!!, How do they do it so cheap.? I've tested the soleplate to get the correct temp as per SolarTex instructions and so far so good. Its true that i might not get into the very small nooks n crannys of the model but i'm sure i'll be able to do most of what i need to. Top purchase i reckon. Cheers for the pointers anyway chaps.
