Mike E
I thought I had found the right size of prop for my 120 F/S SC - 14x11. However I am still not happy with the performance it's providing for my Swallow - a little slow and poor vertical performance. Having tried 15x6 and 16x8 , which were much worse, I am now stuck on what to try next. I am running on 10% and the engine is in good nick. Any suggestions - polite if possible? andy watson
What type of prop are you using? I recently moved from Masterscrew to APC, and was able to reduce the pitch of the props by 1 without loss of power. The engines are also running much quieter. I attribute this to the additional shaping and rigidity of the APC. In fairness they don't look as nice though- wish they came in black! Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
My ASP instruction sheet (ASP/SC...same engine different badge) suggests from 14x10 to 18 x 6 as a suitable range for a 1.20 with a 16x6 or a 16x8 as a good start point.....
