hi all,
just bought ~Jamara's discus to try gliding after years on the water and was amazed to find the main wing spar in the box was steel and mighty heavy when the sales literature and packaging and instructiuons said the kit contained a carbon rod spar.

queries this with the retailer and was told they had experienced many breaks of the carbon and had replaced it with  steel, although their website says it is aluminium.

manufacturer tells me it i9sm a misprint in the manual (never mind the box art and website)

any experience of this change out there. is this normal practice to change bits without informing buyers before they spend up.

told the extra weight won't make any difference by manuf and seller but should i go and buy my own carbon rod?

good luck to me, now where's the nearest hill out here in the fens
