Matt Watts
Greetings!I've been building the FlyingWings Raven of late, however the underslung carbon spar is sitting proud of it's slot by 2mm on each wing edge and about 1.5mm at the centre. Yes, I probably should have trimmed the slot beforehand, but now that it's thoroughly stuck in, is it possible to sand down the spar slightly without compromising it's integrity? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Dave Bran
I have a FW Raven, it does not have a spar at all.................in fact for quite a while the two wing halves were only taped together with a thin ply plate over the joint to make it suitcase transportable. (Fitted with a bigger motor than the supplied one.) It's been to the Canaries, been thrown off Volcanos, slope landed into boulder fields, etc, etc. Still going............................. Matt Watts
Cool... good to know as well. I didn't think the kit was that popular, in fact if it hadn't been for the Nigel Hawes review the FlyingWings site alone would have scared me off - the sheer number of typos is staggering (no joke)!
