Catapult Build for Ducted Fan Models
Roy Wellington replied to Roy Wellington's topic in Gadgets and Electronics
Thanks to everybody who have sent replies to my query about catapult and bungee launchers. Most helpful. -
Does anybody have a plann for building a CATAPULT for EDF models. I want to launch my 50" EDF Canberra. Alternatively does anybody know where one might purchase one. I am aware that they are advertised in the US for 1400 Dollars - far too expensive foe me!!

Electric Acro Wot - balsa replacement

Hi, Have you thought about the Max-Thrust RIOT. It may be a Foanie but it is certainly different from any foamie that I have had before and it is a great model. Very quick to put together and is great fun. Far, far better than a Wot4 Foamie. So far I have hadin excess of 40 flights and it is unmarked and has never missed a beat. -
Can anyone please tell me if they have built the Jamara Roo what glue did they ¨se. Having read several comments on various sites it would appear that some glues "attack" the foam. I would like to hear what cyno people have actually, successfully. Thank you

Can anybody tell me if I can use my Overlander Rc-6sAC pro Balance charger to charge a car battery. Jonnor, I am no expert but have been using these rx for nearly 18 months and so far never had any problems. As for the positioning of the aerials, in my Twin Star I have one pointing upwards, the other horizontally and it has worked a treat for over a year. Hope this is of some help. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);

Hi Lee, Your latest gives me hope!! Did you get my email re address?
-
Adrian, Thanks for your message. Although not an expert at building, (about 40 years since I made a pure Kit model!) I have a reasonable level of skill and feel sure that with the help that is around I will (I will!) get the job done. As to the flying of the plane -we shall see!

Can anybody help me. I have been given a Galaxy Domino that someone has started to build , i.e. part completed fuselage, nothing else. Unfortunately there was no plan or instructions, just a box full of parts, ( I think a few bits are missing). It is like a jigsaw with pieces missing!! . If anybody has the plan I would be most grateful if they would let me have a copy. Naturally I would pay postage and any other costs involved. Regards Roy Wellington

Multiplex Mentor - Suitable Motors

Scott, Apologies for the delay in acknowledging your post - have been away from a computer for a few days. Thank you for the advice - I think that I may just try an in-runner. -
Multiplex Mentor - Suitable Motors
Roy Wellington replied to Roy Wellington's topic in General Electric Flight Chat
Stephen & Ken, Thank you for your replies to my query on Mentor power. I had had about 40 flights with mine using a Turnigy motor but, unfortunately 'somebody' forgot that we were on a left hand circuit and they hit me head on, as I was on finals, the Mentor 'semi-survived' - he collected in a black bag!! My intention was to rebuild but it is the fitting of the motor to the Multiplex motor mount that gave me the hassle - I could only use 2 out of the 4 mounting screws with the Turnigy and I was looking for an easy way out. -
The recommended motor for the Mentor is the HiMax 35-28 1000. The kit includes a mounting plate to suite this motor. Can anybody recommend a DIRECT drop in replacement motor to suite this mount from a reasonably priced source. I have used a Turnigy motor but this entails modification to the mount and I found that it was not entirely satisfactory. I also think that it would better if the power leads did not have to run alongside the rotating can. Thank you
