  1. Thanks to everybody who have sent replies to my query about catapult and bungee launchers. Most helpful.
  2. Does anybody have a plann for building a CATAPULT for EDF models. I want to launch my 50" EDF Canberra. Alternatively does anybody know where one might purchase one. I am aware that they are advertised in the US for 1400 Dollars - far too expensive foe me!!
  3. A building jig would re-introduce me to making models again after a 45 year lay-off
  4. Hi, Have you thought about the Max-Thrust RIOT. It may be a Foanie but it is certainly different from any foamie that I have had before and it is a great model. Very quick to put together and is great fun. Far, far better than a Wot4 Foamie. So far I have hadin excess of 40 flights and it is unmarked and has never missed a beat.
  5. Can anyone please tell me if they have built the Jamara Roo what glue did they ¨se. Having read several comments on various sites it would appear that some glues "attack" the foam. I would like to hear what cyno people have actually, successfully. Thank you

  7. Can anybody tell me if I can use my Overlander Rc-6sAC pro Balance charger to charge a car battery. Thank you.  @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);@import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);Edited By Roy Wellington on 10/02/2012 16:15:46
  8. Jonnor, I am no expert but have been using these rx for nearly 18 months and so far never had any problems. As for the positioning of the aerials, in my Twin Star I have one pointing upwards, the other horizontally and it has worked a treat for over a year. Hope this is of some help. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  9. Hi Lee, Your latest gives me hope!! Did you get my email re address?
  10. Adrian, Thanks for your message.  Although not an expert at building, (about 40 years since I made a pure Kit model!) I have a reasonable level of skill and feel sure that with the help that is around I will  (I will!) get the job done. As to the flying of the plane -we shall see!
  11. Can anybody help me.  I have been given a Galaxy Domino that someone has started to build , i.e. part completed fuselage, nothing else.  Unfortunately there was no plan or instructions, just a box full of parts,  ( I think a few bits are missing). It is like a jigsaw with pieces missing!! .  If anybody has the plan I would be most grateful if they would let me have a copy.  Naturally I would pay postage and any other costs involved. Regards Roy Wellington
  12. Scott, Apologies for the delay in acknowledging your post - have been away from a computer for a few days.  Thank you for the advice - I think that I may just try an in-runner.
  13. Stephen & Ken, Thank you for your replies to my query on Mentor power.   I had had about 40 flights with mine using a Turnigy motor but,  unfortunately 'somebody' forgot that we were on a left hand circuit and they hit me head on, as I was on finals,  the Mentor 'semi-survived' - he collected in a black bag!!   My intention was to rebuild but it is the fitting of the motor to the Multiplex motor mount that gave me the hassle - I could only use 2 out of the 4 mounting screws with the Turnigy and I was looking for an easy way out.
  14. The recommended motor for the Mentor is the HiMax 35-28 1000.  The kit includes a mounting plate to suite this motor. Can anybody recommend a DIRECT drop in replacement motor  to suite this mount  from a reasonably priced source. I have used a Turnigy motor but this entails modification to the mount and I found that it was not entirely satisfactory. I also think that it would better  if the power leads did not have to run alongside the rotating can. Thank you
  15. Chris, thank you for your reply.  At least the Lipos that I have will not go to waste.  I will now go fishing and catch a "Shark"!! Edited By David Ashby - RCME on 04/04/2013 08:41:32
  16. Has anyone  out there got a Shark 30E?  If so could you please let me know if the battery compartment size will take 4300 batteries weighing 375 gms, measuring 150mm x 55mm x 30mm.  I have acquired these Lipos and have been thinking of purchasing the Shark 30E,  but before I do, I need to be sure theywill fit. 17. Can anybody please tell me if I can use a Futaba 6EX 2.4 with a Futaba 6EXAP 35MHZ as a Buddy Box.
  18. Hi Flytilbroke -(I'm alread there!!!) Thank you for your reply.   Certainly from what you say it would appear that there are  far too many changes to be made  to the Prangster and a ready made/designed leccy is the best option.   Thanks anyway
  19. Hello Prangsters!! Has anyone out there ever converted a Prangster to Electric?  If so, what set up did you use.  I would be most grateful for any and all information. Thanks
  20. Good morning, I have been trying to download the T28 Trogan to my FMS but just cannot get it to work. I did get some instruction from Gary Gunnerson, (the author) but still have had no joy. Does anyone have a foolproof, & and idiot proof!!, way of succeeding. Even a disc with it on ( I would be quite happy to purchase)
  21. Brings back memories of my first flight in a Tiger Moth in 1953. Please let me relive!
  22. " Wot " still no prize. You must have mislaid my address!
