  9. I have decided to use this forum as a platform to launch a UK ninja turtle parachute drop.  Inspiration came from a few guys in the USA who are sending a ninja turtle on an aerial tour of the US. Now you can get involved on UK soil. See the video for more details ..........  The drop list opens RIGHT NOW so get cracking !!

Fliton Mini Extra 330s Onetech Hobby Rafale edf   E-flite Blade MCX heli Silverlit little thingy, cant remember what its called. Still to build - Vintage Viking Models 'Facctor' glider Half way through building a stunt monkey  - on hold until the DX7 turns up as i have run out of model memories on the DX6i. Bound to have missed something out too!
  11. Glad i went down the route of buying a Multiplex Mentor to learn with.  A lot more expensive than a RTF jobbie but its still a blast to fly.  I couldnt afford to buy it all at once so month 1 i bought the plane, month 2 i bought the running gear, month 3 i bought the spektrum tranny. Im now not stuck with a tranny that i cant use easily with any other planes, the drivetrain is suitable to use in a lot of other models should i stack the Mentor hard enough that it doesnt warrant bunging it back together with some Zacki!  Incidently ive only ever had to refix the vertical stab after it nosed over in long grass whilst landing.  More time flying, less time fixing. Its a bigger model too so very stable and flies slowly too - ideal for a beginner. Had i gone down another route i perhaps wouldnt be as (semi) competant as i am now after 6 or 7 months of flying. I truly cant rate this trainer enough, indeed many other members of my club have one too and have all passed their 'A' easliy where they were perhaps struggling before. Buy cheap - buy twice applies here i believe. Is anyone still reading this? haha
  12. I have a PZ corsair and it rocks.   Yesterday after numerous trouble-free inverted circuits i flipped her over for a landing circuit and whacked it into a floodlight pole. 5 minutes with the hot glue gun and shes ready to go again.  Bit of luck actually as i was practising for a little project but you will have to watch this space for more info on that!
  13. Ive just finished work so am sat here reading new posts in my underpants. Bet you wish you hadnt asked now!
  14. Alu trim tabs for the DX6i? Result, the standard ones are cack, 3 of mine have failed already. To be honest Horizon do replace them no questions asked but having to wait for them in the post is a pain.  They are very easy to fix. Have a DX7 on the way and if the same is true for the DX7 i will upgrade to ali ones
  15. interested to hear the answer to this too!  Quite annoying sometimes!
  16. Divert your browser here young man if you fancy dabbling with edf  - Plenty to choose from... Little parkfly jet thingies...
  17. I have just dipped into edf for the first time and picked one of these up from the Thames Valley Model Airshow. First flights yesterday, runs on 1300 3s lipos. The kit and motor/fan set up was purchased from robotbirds although i cant find it on their website so give them a buzz. Here is my video of it in action... Great fun and easy to fly. I also have the Phase 3 f16 which im looking forward to flying
