  1. Done and tested, o wise one!
  2. Oops! Sorry! It's changed since I last put in a link....(excuses excuses......)
  3. There's a plan HERE Edited By Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator on 23/03/2012 14:28:52
  4. Good plan! I bought a second hand one last year with the original central servo/bellcranks arrangement and it's a NIGHTMARE! As Richard said, metal geared minis is the way to go, as each one is pushing two ailerons. Mine is fitted with an elderly SC 52 FS turning a 12x6 and circuits are flown on no more than half throttle, but it has roughly 6oz. of lead in the nose for balance - keep that rear end light!
  5. .Erfolg's right - we have enough people outside the hobby trying to shut us down without turning on each other.
  6. Nope....Brown sauce on heinz baked beans, yes, but to go any further is unnatural!
  7. BEB's trick also works with a length of plastic snake inner if you need a bit of flexibility - just managed to remount the tank in a Mick Reeves FW 190 without removing either cowling or SC 80 FS
  8. Flying food can ONLY be Bacon rolls with enough brown sauce to make your eyes water more than a North wind. Edited to correct "predictive" text error Edited By Eck on 22/02/2012 00:12:59
  9. All the best, Tim - we'll miss your calm and wisdom a lot a lot more than you'll miss our whinging and wilful stupidity!
  10. Good luck with the maiden, Tom!
  11. Is the Domino suitable for a .52 FS, Lee? I might be tempted....
  12. battwery? sorry, fat finger syndrome!
  13. Basically, you cut the live wire between the battwery and ESC, and connect a female Deans plug to the cut ends, mounting this where it will be easily accessible on the aircraft. The battery can then be connected as usual, without the circuit being live until it is completed by a male Deans plug, with the terminals shorted (connected together), plugged into the female half. Simples!
  14. Nice one, Lee - That's the first review of a kit rather than an ARTF/RTF since I started buying the mag. again with the Aug. 2008 issue! (not including Graham's SE5A as it's a build blog rather than a review)
  15. My mate's Black horse Stuka...
  16. Ooh! That's brotherly love for you....Ouch!
  17. Given that the general public never see the build (or assembly) phase, they tend to lump us all together as the people who FLY those dangerous noisy toys. If we are to defend our hobby, then we really could do without fragmenting from within into factions and concentrate on demonstrating that it is a safe and enjoyable pastime for all, whether gifted on the building side or not.
  18. Cheers Steve, my brains have just oozed out of my ears and are pulling faces at me from the other side of the room!
