  1. I concur Peter.

In the four years he's had it he has not actively been trying to sell it.

Also, he has several other models he bought new, an example being the E-flite Valiant ARF 1.7m. He made some remark about the ailerons not fitting properly and it has sat at his house since.

A friend remarked that perhaps he sees them as invetments like antiques.

  2. It's been agreed by both parties Don. He won't part for it for less and I won't pay more. We both respect each others positions so no harm done.

Thanks to all who have made an input, very much appreciated.

    Steve.

  3. The chap in the photo, a friend of mine, sold the Supra to another club member for 750 euros 4 years ago. The model has sat unflown in the new owners house ever since. I asked him if he would sell it to me and for how much. He said yes and wants 800 euros for it which I think is outrageous!

Sure, the Supra is a quality ship and is in good condition but is circa 2011 and things have moved on a lot since then.

I don't want to hurt his feelings but I am thinking of offering him 500 euros tops.

Anyone wish to chime in with thoughts, suggestions much appreciated.

  4. Hi Jonathan, the project is on hold at the moment I'm afraid as I got distracted by other projects and life in general. However, I am working on something very similar and have borrowed the tail feather design for the new project which is very similar to the Resco but uses the wings from the original Parkzone Radian.

  5. Living in Spain, I have made many orders from HK Europe during the past 7 or 8 years or so. During that time I only had a problem with one order which was resolved to my satisfaction in good time. The recent demise of the EU warehouse was something of a blow and I had resigned myself to searching for items from alternative suppliers of which there are many of course. However, sometimes there's nothing like the devil you know.

One of my favourite models is the Grand Tundra and it was getting to the stage where I would be needing replacement main wheels which were/are only available via HK. Having to order from either the global or US warehouse would have been more costly and less convenient with the added wait for shipping.

So, I for one, welcome the return of the EU warehouse and hope HK manage to sort things out.

  6. It's not just you David.

I currently have four models in various stages of completion and I flit from one to another as the mood strikes. I find that as I get older my boredom threshold worsens and I lose interest in one thing and need to go onto something else, returning to the other project with renewed enthusiasm at a later date.

It's the same with flying, for a period of time it'll be powered gliders, then it will be sport models, then flying wings, then helicopters, etc, etc.

A case of never ending circles.

But, the models get finished and flown eventually  - all part of the enjoyment from the hobby for me.
