Gents, this thread has answered some of my questions ref an electic twin, but not all. I have just started an old RCME plan of the 'American Nightmare', which was originally for 2x .10/.15 IC and was thinking of using electric. I have chosen 2x TR 35-30B 1400KVs from HC (equiv to AXi 2808) (max 22A) and will have independant 30A ESCs matched on the Tx. These state they are .12 ic equivalent - will they be sufficient should I lose one motor? Next motors up are .30 quivalent which seems a lot of excess weight. This way I can trim the speeds if need be. A few problems I need to sort though: Problem 1. Can I remove some of the motor torque effects, especially if one motor fails, by having opposite rotation - similar to the WWII Mosquito, I think? Problem 2. I intend to put one of my 4s1p 3200mAh 25c HXTs in the fuse to run the ESCs in parallel, as think single 3s 2800mAh 25c not enough and 2x adds too much weight. The are good for 55A+ so more than able to cope, no? As it is 4s, I think I will need to use a small 2s for the rx battery with a 6v reducer. I am not too sure about this BEC for 3s, but not for 4s issue. FYi, original plan had AUW of 59oz so looking to cut that with some use of carbon in wing spars and weight saving on elevatir/fin and fuse. Grateful for any guidance given so that can finish the motor pods in the near future. Failing that, I will just get another OS.15 and keep it simple...and messy...and smelly...and noisy. Cheers
