  2. i was browsing through the forum and found someone looking for a electric timer for free flight i can't find that thread so i hope he finds this thread. i have been using a small timer on indoor models that is sold by hiline. it is called micro electronic flight timer the price is  $15.95.  flight times are adjustable from 15 to 150 seconds .it uses a fully charged battery that is activated by touching two contacts with a nine volt battery. for a catolog write to hiline p.o. box 11558 goldsboro north carolina 27532 phone-919 778 6653 clark

  4. i agree with jonathan  the ember and vapor are both good flyers and either one will do what you want . the vapor flys slower and slower is better when flying in a confined area like a gym. those walls keep getting in the way.
  5. the parck zone vapor is very popular around here ,they are easy to fly and you can take the components out and put them in a peanut rubber type model or design your own airplane using the vapor guts
  6. thanks guys.the seperate transmitter sounds most positive but alittle combersome.using the rudder might be easyest since once airborne i fly with the ailerons. the model i am working with is a scratch built xb51 twin ducted fan

  9. i tryed to bungee launch a scratch built me 163 comet with the hook  just under the cockpit. it pivoted to a straight up position and came off the hook. so i put the hook directlly in the nose like a full size glider has for aerotowing that works good. the idea is to get it going but not like a sail plane on a hy start
