  1. well its taken 3 days to read the joy of slope thats one hell of a thread you started timbo, obviously i was diverted to other stuff being xmas but i now know a lot more ,many thanks to all who contributed,i will be sussing out something local but i know the orme will pull me there,i have fished around that area many a saturday night so its not an insurmountable distance it just means i have to stay longer to make it worthwhile well thats my defense m'lord
  2. thank you for your quick response i will do as directed and read the threads from front to back, thanks for the invites too i would indeed like to take you up on them in the near future
  3. i live in bagillt north wales and ive just bought a wildthing, can anyone point me to local bumps apart from the obvious orme,i read timbos thread the joy of slope and bought one so its his fault so maybe someone could help me with some hills close enough for a quick throw between driving lessons ,also any pointers on flying slopes as i have been flying power for years.
  4. i fly over long grass and have to admit to using the jeti system for model location its a bit like digital water divining
  5. oops martin thats what ive ordered,ah well there is always something new to challenge me
  6. ive just ordered the crimper martin watching the video it seemed pretty straight forward, many thanks for the input everyone
  7. thanks for that james do you have any experience with this one as i have read some articles saying some types are really awkward to use ? ive not seen this one mentioned before so any info would be appreciated
  8. hi all,not quite sure the best place for this thread but here it is. i am being driven to distraction trying to find a servo wire and plug crimping kit,i can find articles on how to do it and also discussions on which one works best but i can't seem to find any for sale in the uk. help please.
  9. i think as long as the flyer is getting satisfaction from his hobby then its up to him how much he spends, i fly both artfs and build models,i like flying but i love building because its not weather dependant. a couple of years ago i bought a futaba 10c which with an extra 35 mhz module came out at £500 i know its a lot of cash but i look at it as the trannie never leaves my hands so it should be safe, the idea of sending that sort of money into the blue would frankly scare me to death. with planes i suppose its a bit like gambling spend what you can afford to lose .
  10. high street steve webb mail order galaxy models artf unijet horizon hobbies
  11. i have just bought this model from a swap meet do you still need the dimensions
  12. i will be there tomorrow with high hopes for a bargain or two
  13. http://www.micronradiocontrol.co.uk/motor_mount.html    try this carl it may help
  14. doubling back on itself will definately reduce the range, try out the side and up to the fin or at my club some models have it out of the bottom and along to the tail covered by fuel tubing to protect it.
  15. normally they give you the amount for each side but i must admit 2ins does seem a lot especially for [low rates]
