  1. Thanks Chris, weather looking quite nice for the next 3 days! Very excited now, lets hope we have a good attendance and raise lots of money.
  2. This year's Summer Rally is set for the 11th, 12th and 13th June 2010, and will take the format same as last year's event. Relaxed flying off the peg with slots arranged for traders, jets and large models. Starting Friday at midday and wrapping up on Sunday evening. Limited camping will be available Friday and saturday by permit only, BBQ included TO RESERVE A CAMPING SPOT CONTACT KEVIN ON 07973343893 OUR WEBSITE DETAILS CAN BE FOUND HERE The BDMAC Summer Rally has been held for many years in aid of raising funds for Derian House Children's Hospice in Chorley and, with your generosity, has been able to make considerable donations to help those less fortunate than ourselves. This is a 100% donation-funded hospice for terminally ill children and is a very, very worthy cause. For you guys with children, just think how lucky you are... If you would just like to make a donation, of any size, direct to Derian House, follow the link and you can donate directly to the Hospice online.Edited By Simon Roberts on 20/05/2010 20:49:13 Edited By Simon Roberts on 20/05/2010 20:49:59
  3. Massive fly problem here in Blackburn, completely covered front of my car on the motoway today, it looks like a massacre!
  4. I pay £55 a year plus first year you have to pay £20 joining fee, we get BMFA insurance. Only thing is we only get 3 days a week to fly plus any public and local holidays. And thats Blackburn Disctrict Model Aircraft Club.
  5. Cheers Ross! Taking A next week hopefully if the weather is ok, going to spend tomorrow practicing only got a half gallon of fuel left though (went through half a gallon last Sunday). Wish me luck!
  6. The 10t is just awful! and the DX8 looks like a DX6i, which i do think is ugly compared to my Beautiful Aurora 9, But i do have quite a lot of Spektrum gear now so hoping for a Spektrum module for my A9 but will never stop using my DX6i as it was my first Tx and holds a special place in my heart haha.
  7. Thunder Tiger Ready 3!! I love mine and have the Irvine .40 in there which is the same crank case i think?
  8. Thanks again chaps! Cant wait for this weekend to come now :D
  9. Thanks to Andy F (dont want to post peoples names on the net without permission) at BDMAC.
  10. Yeah feels that way Ken, without the 4million in the bank...........
  11. Andy said get learning my handbook (already been reading lots of an eve) and we'll be ready for the test shortly! I cant bloomin wait
  12. Thanks BEB! I cant wait to land some more, favourite part of flight haha.
  13. Im so excited still from Sunday! I met up with Andy my instructor at the field and he said lets get some approaches done, so i was flying circuits and setting up the approach, after about the 4th approach i felt comfortable and he said lets go for a landing, i floted the Thunder Tiger ready in beautifully for a 3 pointer! I was so so happy its unreal. No sooner as i had landed he said get fueld up we are going for a take off now! after a few ground runs we went for it and climbed away beautifully, then into the circuit for about 9 mins and called landing! Again another lovely landing (so Andy said) with no dramas, im still smiling to myself now and thinking i cant wait for this weekend!!
  14. The red ones are called HXT connectors, i bought a load off ebay and used them as found them easier to use thean deans style connectors.
  15. I have no idea who Dave McQue was! Im 30 year old and only been modelling around a year so would be great to read about the early pioneers of R/C, love interesting reads of how things have started in any walk of life.
