  1. Thank you all for your help I will contact Horizon and get one posted to me. Perhaps I should get four as it seems to be a general weakness with this set.
  2. Could anyone advise how to repair or where to buy a new one. The rocker arm that operates the micro switch has broken off. I would be grateful for any help offered thanks.
  3. Has anyone any experience using this retailer. How long for delivery?do you have to pay customs?Would be grateful for any help, thanks.
  4. Going to the Hastings show for the first time, booked a B&B already. The big question is can anyone come up with a near to post code for the flying site.

    Futaba

As I said earlier in this thread I use both, but am (or was ignorant of how they worked). After reading some of the threads on brown outs QC enabled ect perhaps Iv'e backed the wrong horse. The DX6i was bought because it was only £40 more as a combo than a 606 reciever. I think after looking at both system operations I will use the Futaba for my return to flying, and put the Spekky in my b--ts. Early coding problems aside it seems to be a slightly more secure system for airside use. I hope the price will fall but until then I'll be doing a lot of reciever swapping.

    Futaba

Even if you are prepared to pay  £59.99 for a 606rx try to find one. Although I think my 6EX 2.4 is excellent, I managed to grab a DX6i combo at £99. As I said i'm very pleased with both but the futaba rx is overpriced. Programming either seems straight foward to me.
  7. Sorry about delay but somehow lost the computer last night. I havn't had the chance to use it on the PSU, as after a couple of TURNIGY flashes it comes up with voltage error screen. Contacted GO BRUSHLESS today and they think it's the PSU. The charger that works on the PSU is a Hitec CG-340 nicd nimh only.
  8. Purchased this charger at Blackbushe it's fine on 12v battery, but on my JP ultra power PSU gives input voltage error. The JP works fine with my other charger, can anyone suggest a solution.
  9. Well what a day at Blackbushe, after a recent return to the hobby this was my first show in 38 years. Was I impressed, no I'm completely staggered, that flying in those conditions was possible. The people who flew in the displays (all unknown to me) have my admiration and thanks, you entertained me well. Never having seen model jets flying before the sound and verticle performance!!! amazing I thought they were off to the moon. Spent loads more than I was allowed but it was worth it, again thanks to everyone who made it possible.
  10. Thanks Timbo have been to the site, very helpfull. Forgot to  put shaft diameter it's 3.17, so Iv'e narrowed it down to two.      B2040-6T   KV 5100 or B2040-7T  KV3900.   Also by looking through the motor specs I think Iv'e learnt the higher the turn number the lower the KV value. Perhaps one day it will be as clear as brushed motors, until then it's back to old farts school and learn quickly. Thanks again Eddie.
  11. Thanks Stephen for your second reply to my posts. Already been in touch with BRC but apart from the size telling them it's a brushless 400 replacement, they couldn't help.
  12. Bid for and won the Mini-Mag at the Great Southern Auction, it came with motor and speed controller. The motor is a Hi-Model inrunner, thats all there is on the label but it's 400 size 28mm diam 36mm long.Could anyone give an educated guess what model it may be. Speed controller is a Hacker X30 not the 30S, will I have to program it for lipo batteries or is it automatic. I can't find instructions online to download.                                      Thanks Eddie.
  13. Starting again after 35year break,( only went for a cuppa but three girls arrived ). Would the Mini-Mag be a good starting point for a small electric trainer.
