  1. Posted by Andy Green on 24/07/2014 17:48:50: Hi Bob Check this out from Probuild. There are also example of how I do it on my website. Andy Edited By Andy Green on 24/07/2014 17:49:43 Andy, Enjoyed reading your build threads on your website. Always considered building a BarFli, with a Phil Kraft design you know it’s going to fly well. In the process of completing Doug Spreng’s Twister from about the same era, electrifying it which I’m not convinced about but guess it’s the way ahead. John

Posted by Martyn K on 30/09/2019 09:50:52: The dummy engine is actually a modified real motor with the crank/piston/liner etc removed and a simple extension shaft manufactured and passed through to the outrunner located immediately behind the dummy IC engine. Very effective deception Thanks Martyn, Done some research and found a dummy engine on this website below. Just need to put the 3D printer to work now! It may need scaling up somewhat. **LINK**

I cant see a silencer Edited By Martyn K on 11/10/2016 16:40:54 Maybe not the real McCoy The Taurus referred to in the above quote had a dummy engine sat above the outrunner. Does anyone know where I can source one of these or the 3D pattern to pattern to make one?
  4. I think I may have a similar kit, produced by Lance Maresh who sold his business to Home and Hobby Solutions. Always had a soft spot for the Taurus, it was my first pattern ship in the late 60's, flown on Orbit 10 channel reeds powered by one of Dennis Allens Merco 61's. The Taurus kit will probably be a retirement project. Sadly no pictures of my old Taurus.
  5. Certainly is aTaurus, and in the original colours. What motor is powering it? Looks like a McCoy? Posted by chris Bond - Bondaero on 11/10/2016 15:03:04: Sadly not mine but managed to get a twiddle on the sticks of this at the weekend.
  6. Thunderstormer! Not stormer but close! That's if I'm correct? John
  7. I believe that is one of Doug Spreng designs? It's name escapes me, Stormer?
  8. Thanks for all your help. I did try the search on the forum but turned up nothing! Should have known to check Google, Google knows everything, frightening isn't it! Many thanks, John

I have got the SLIK-FLI (exact spelling) plan and I did purchase it from MHS about 2 years ago. It is indeed labelled RC 1035 and no, I cant find it on the MHS website either. I have also experienced items disappearing from MHS - mainly canopies that were listed then suddenly disappearing when I needed it or usually queried it because the price was clearly wrong. If you want to get a scan of the Slik Fli plan done - please PM me, I'll lend it to you, but strictly only for scanning and assuming that MHS don't come up with the goods Martyn Edited By Martyn K on 11/02/2015 13:50:10 Martyn, Thank you for the kind offer. I will check that my local printers who scan plans for me is still in business. I may be able to get it reproduced from the pdf doc that Denis Parrkinson has offered me. John Looks like I'm making progress with the Slik Fli, the pdf.doc seems to be working and the local printers have been very helpful. I'm just trying to get some of the nitty gritty sorted like sourcing a canopy? I have see in a previous build thread that Vortex can help. I cannot get their website to work. are they still in business? Does anyone know of a supplier/manufacturer of 'bespoke' canopies? John

  11. Posted by denis parkinson on 11/02/2015 13:36:16: Oh, and I have just found the plans in PDF format if that's any good to you? Hi Denis, The pdf document would be great, I should be able to get it reproduced from that. I'll PM you my e-mail address Thanks John
  12. Posted by IanN on 11/02/2015 11:25:49: As the old posts above say, not all of the X-List plans were available when MHS bought that concern. However, Martin K said in this thread **LINK** that he bought a Slik Fli plan from MHS, so it must have been available then (Dec 2012) John, Outerzone have a downloadable plan of Dragon Fli, which was a development of the Slik Fli, if that's of interest. Info here **LINK** Edited By IanN on 11/02/2015 11:28:09 IanN, The Dragon Fli looks like the way to go, it's a very nice looking model, not one I have come across before and has moved on a little from the Slik Fli. I thought I knew most of Phil Kraft's designs but this one has slipped through! Thanks.
  13. No, I was never a member of the Dagenham club but I do originate from near there (Chadwell Heath!). I was a member of the West Essex. Thanks for the image of the plan.
  14. Absolutely, I've tried typing in every conceivable variation of Slik Fli including the reference RC 1035 but if it is there it's certainly well hidden! I have the original magazine but enlarging the plan from that is not really a 'goer!' I have contacted 'myhobbystore' and they tell me it's not available. I'm not sure that the person who replied was as knowledgable/informed as Daniel Webb. They probably did the 'search' as I have been doing!
  15. Posted by Daniel Webb - MyHobbyStore on 20/07/2010 14:41:50: Ian N - thank you great idea - Please treat this list with caution though as we have established there are some plans on this list which are not available. The is what we inherited when we aquired the X-List. This is a pdf document and can be found here: **LINK**   KC - I will speak with the editorial team and see they have in mind. Hi I appreciate this was posted some time ago and things may have moved on. The link .takes me to the Xlist pdf doc. Where can these plans be sourced? I was looking for RC 1035, the SLIK FLi. I have bee in touch with MyHobbyStore but told it was not available? I just wondered if it was worth using the list anymore. John
