  1. I have a spare Turnigy SK3 Aerodrive 5045/660kv that I am thinking of using on either 4 or 5 cells. I am not sure if it will be too high a kv for the 14x8 four bladed prop. Any thoughts anyone? Geoff...
  2. Regarding the FMS 4 bladed prop, am I correct in assuming it is the 14x8 version we will be using and not the 17x9?
  3. I have finished fitting and pinning all the control surfaces and thought I would put all the pieces together, for the first time, and see how it looks. As we are in lockdown again, I think I will go ahead with the painting and have it fully finished before the maiden. More later...
  4. Out of interest Richard, how many people are going to be building your Mustang? Hopefully we shall see plenty of build logs popping up on this forum. I still need to finish my TN Hawk before starting mine.
  5. Been a bit busy with other stuff lately but have fitted the mylar hinges into the control surfaces and pinned them with cocktail sticks. More later...
  6. I have added the air vents to the top hatch and also 3d printed and fitted a sprung catch. More later...
  7. Hi Barrie, I have mine as far forward as I could get it which is in the nose next to the battery. I still needed a small amount of nose weight to achieve the c of g.
  8. I decided to glass the air intakes as I think it will add a bit of strength and also be a better surface for painting. I used epoxy resin for this. More later...
  9. Hi Martin. I am using roughly equal amounts of light weight filler, talc (baby powder) and water based varnish. Then add a dab of paint for colour and thin with a bit of water to a thick paint consistency.
  10. Painted some sauce onto the fuselage: I am going to need a bit of filler where the nose cone attaches to the fuselage. More later...
  11. A few more bits done: I have given the wing a coat of sauce and sanded back, also added the anti stall fins (which I nearly forgot). Installed the anti roll fins to the bottom of the fuselarge. I made a jig to help get the angle correct. I have also designed and 3d printed a pair of air intakes that will be fitted to the top hatch. More later...
