  1. Hi Phil, Can you please assist as you seem to be into RF knowledge. I have a SPEKTRUM DX6 (g2),no antenna diversity transmitter and would like to know if can I connect a second antenna with 90 degree orientation to the original one at the same point on the RF board without burning out the amplifier on the board. Only DX6 G3 has now since two months ago introduced antenna diversity on this transmitter but with a redesign of the circuit boards - no upgrade kit thus available for G2 (audio introduced). SORRY FOR USING THIS RECEIVER forum for TRANSMITTER ISSUES Kind Regards, Johan.
  2. Hi, I propose that SPEKTRUM make an upgrade from DX6 G2 to G3 available whereby you only need to solder a second antenna wire to the same connection point where the existing one is connected to the RF board. You then orientate this one 90 degrees to the existing one and thereby have a second diversity antenna. Has anyone considered doing this as a DIY project yet:
  3. The solution is two-fold: 1. Buy a good speed controller with a BEC that can deliver at least 3 Amperes. 2. To replace all speed controllers that do not satisfy the above specification can be very costly. The following can then rather be done: Fit a 4700uF (10V) capacitor over a spare channel of the receiver (positive pin and negative pin). This will prevent the receiver from rebooting with voltage drop on the BEC to the receiver - thus no signal loss can occur either, Since I have fitted all my receivers with this capacitor I have had no further crashes, YOU MUST AT ALL COST PREVENT THE RECEIVER FROM REBOOTING
  4. Hi, I have had several crashes since I got my new DX6 transmitter. Could not pinpoint exactly what caused it but finally worked it out and now no more crashes. What happens is that the speed controller BEC voltage to the receiver drop too low and then the receiver reboots. This then appears as a signal loss to the pilot. If the plane is too low it cashes before the receiver has rebooted.
  5. Timbo,   I understand what you are telling me but would like to know how does the motor generate the sound - does the magnets vibrate at a specific frequency or use some other means?   Thanx.   Johan.
  6. Please explain to me how the brushless speed control emit sounds from the brushless motor when programming the speed control.. Does it use the magnets to do this?
