  1. Hi folks, As above i'm trying to find a replacement engine cowl for my electric converted Swallow EX 90. I'd even take a used one in decent condition!! It's the red/white and mauve coloured one. Any help would be appreciated. Please PM me Thanks Jamie Edited By Steve Hargreaves - Moderator on 10/09/2012 13:35:29
  2. Thanks for all the replies folks. I think i'll just keep it for spares. It was only bought as abit of a fun project, converting a GWS foam electric warbird into glo. I'll have to keep my eye out for another .15 glow motor. Thanks again folks
  3. Hi folks. I have a Thunder Tiger .15 2 stroke with a worn crank bush which is leaking air/fuel from the front of the crankcase. I'd like to replace it but I'm not even sure what the bush is made of. Looks like copper to me Is it just the same process of heat, like with a ball raced engine? Also, the engine is very old, and i haven't been able to find a new bush yet. Do they still make them for an engine thats so old Any constructive opinions would be appreciated
  4. It will have a servo for each aileron. They are cut out and the channels done. I glassed over the holes so just need to cut the glassing out over the holes. i've used 2 servos only as this is my preference. And yes it will have an undercarriage. With a steerable nose wheel to boot! I was just in too much of a hurry to see what it looked like assembled Thanks for the advice on the stall point. I need all the help i can with my flying!!
  5. Posted by Richard Wood on 22/08/2011 15:08:54: Looks good Jamie. Great to see the Bullet being built again . Go for a high visibility colour scheme if you can.My mainly white old bullet can be tricky to see easily on overcast days - on one particularly gloomy day I lost it for a few seconds after glancing down at the Tx timer - not recommended! I find plenty of red stands out very well - just my thoughts. This applies to any rapid aerobat of course.   I'd be quite surprised if your Bullet turned out nose heavy Bob. My .40 powered one needed the Rx pack well forward in the tank bay to balance, & my latest electric one has a few ounces of lead on the firewall with the Lipo fully forward etc. Let us know how it goes.   Cheers. The irony of your post Richard! I've just got back from flying my Funjet up our local sports field. I stupidly lost it in the sun and took it back to the car in several bits!, Again!!
  6. Posted by Bob Cotsford on 20/08/2011 20:16:12: I'm tempted to go that route for the fuselage and tail on the Tornado, I used it on the Joker with a Solarlac paint finish. That gave a good finish and was pretty resistant to hangar rash, though a film finish as per the originals would be slightly lighter. I'll see how it balances once fitted out before I decide, if it's nose heavy then it will be PolyC over glass. I keep looking through the Trenton Flyers site for inspiration on colour schemes, bit of an information overload though. Thanks for posting Bob. I was struggling for colour ideas until you posted the Trent Flyers link! There are soooo many!

No worries I've covered it in light weight fibre glass and Poly-c. Not sure on colour yet though!
  8. Thanks Bob!   I don't recall saying the hardware doubles the cost of the kit?
