A spot of bad luck then,
-
Yep much better to do it over the internet
-
If you were there filming it why did you not ask the chap what happened.

Nice one Jez, looking good,
Is the catch lever mount the right way round, looks different to the picture

Hot glue guns have their uses but not for general kit building
-
Go for the ally cowl,
-
Hmm the 5% nitro should have given the game away. LOL
-
Re-drill the ally plate if the new engine does not line up, or make a new ally plate.
Avicrat Panic used this type of engine mount.
-
Curious, was it the inside of the engine that was varnishing up
Was the oil you were using synthetic or mineral based
-
Cool, many thanks

Hi Cymaz, looks great, do the four pipes go into the box section if so are the drilled to make baffles.
Or are they surface mounted, I take it all four are able to exit gasses.
What size pipe and box ?? did you use

Use a socket from a socket set or a decent socket extension
-
Cymaz, what engine prop etc to get to 82db,please

All sounds like one big fire hazard, your blanket may be defective even though its new.
I would seek the help of a qualified Sparky who can measure things properly.

Hi Percy.
I had one of the 96" Powermax Mosquitos,
Never did get round to building it, I did have the multiplex Profi 4000 that allegedly controlled the motors on the original large Vulcan.

I once owned the Roy Lever Merlin 8 PCM radio,it had a switch dedicated to Parachute release.
A few of the club members where Roy flew had it on there larger models.
I had a large Cub from a member up that way and all was left in the plane was the two holes where the wood dowels were.

Yep read it all before.
So is it just the landing wires that are releasable, and the flying wires are made to a fixed length.
And a removable hatch is required to be able to pull the landing wires into tension.

I am p/sure I used to run 16x8 on my Laser 150's in the Stampes,
If I remember correctly the 18x6 props gave a slow rev pick up. and the smaller prop meant more fun with instant power.

I've often looked at the DB rigging and wondered how it works , Does it release the cable tension every time you take the model apart or is set a time of build and stays that way, do you need access panels to retention it
Ebay Attilla - getting ready to fly it - advice needed

WHATEVER YOU DO MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT CRANK IT WITH THE STARTER WHEN HEAVILY PRIMED!
If you have no joy, I am much closer than the other guys as I am in bucks so can give you hand if you like
Some good advice, Take up Jon's offer to help, it would be a shame to damage the engine or the plane.
