  1. RCM&E is the best RC model mag and covers all flying types from foamies to drones & auto gyros so what has it got against Helicopters. This puzzles and to a degree annoys me. Yours Dave Nichols.
  2. Spektrum failsafe throttle setting update. Yes the problem returned after updating DX8 to airware 2.06. I have finally cracked it discovering that if you hold your transmitter bind too long you will accidentally set your throttle to Zero instead of Idle. Dave Nichols.
  3. Cracked it ! Yes I've finally got failsafe with tickover on reversed throttle servo.I'm not sure exactly what did it but I registered my tran and downloaded and installed firmware 2.03 beta after which I got success. This leaves me with one more question, should I now rebind my fleet?   4. Thanks for your help chaps. I found that with throttle norm i could set failsafe with tickover but not with reverse servo. Dave N.@import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  5. Thanks Keith, I've tried it all not just once but many times. The receiver is 8000 X. Throttle servo is in reverse. could this be a problem. Dave N. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  6. Why do all my attempts to set failsafe of any type Eg. smartsafe or last command or whatever. result in me being unable to set a condition with the throttle at tickover or any ware off bottom When transmitter turns off. Desperate Dave. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  7. @import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css); @import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css); I tried rescue tape which cost £10 on my Raptor 70 muffler. it worked well fo about one minute after which it split and peeled and fell off like the skin off a sausage on a barbaque. Thanks Brian. from Dave Nichols. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  8. From:david nichols Subject:2.4 Gig module Date Sent:26/08/2010 19:48:28 To:Alex Whittaker Hi Alex, I have a Spektrum module in my JR 388S, I have had servo jitter on my 61 Xcell heli mainly throttle. I found the likely cause to be the modules female socket bending away from its PCB when the transmitter pins enter causing little or bad contact. I have inserted a small wood block inside the module to prevent this happening. Yours Dave Nichols.
