  8. On my trainer Irvine Tutor 40 i noticed the engine is a MDS 40 so i done some research on the engine and too be honest the reading of them is not so good. So does anyone know of these engines ? Whether their any good or should i start looking for another engine to train with ? I was looking at this one as a replacement if i was advised ro replace the MDS 40... Irvine 40 ABC R/C Mk IV.. Perhaps this one would be a little better seems to have a good write up.. If so would you recomend any for novice that will ne learning to fly with.. Thanks in advance.. Tom.

  10. Thanks for the links there much appreciated and i have sent off e mails asking for forms.. As i say it has been a while but am looking forward to joining a club and making a start on the hobby but i want to do it the right way and learn from the bottom up..
  11. It has been a while since i have been on here so i thought it was probably best to refresh with an introduction.. My name is Tom and i live in Flint N Wales and have wanted to fly planes for a long time now. Mainly only done nitro cars so the model planes are new to me. I am more prepared this time as last time i never had a Trainer plane or nothing but i went out and got a complete setup second hand.. The plane is a Tutor 40 and the flight panel box is a ripmaxx which as you probably know has a built in fuel pump and glow plug starter ETC.. I have tried my local club in Deeside but have been told that they are full but to send an application form in anyway which i have done. I have also e mailed another local club in Delyn but still waiting a reply on that one with regards to a club form ETC. If anybody is in the Delyn club perhaps they could help me with that onformation that would be much appreciated.. Anyway thanks for any welcomes in advance again and i thought it only right to refresh my coming back within this section. Thanks again.. Tom..
  12. I must admit I do like the spit Tim they look well I bet they look even better In the air..
  13. I have read this thread with Interest, And to be honest I have read these kinds of threads on other forums, And they all end up In the bin eventually.. But before the cyber hand throws this one Into the depths of cyber junk, I would like to just make this point. One of my pet hates Is amongst this thread, And one that never seizes to amaze me, The presumption that everybody should be blessed with the correct use of grammer whilst posting on a forum.  Personally I think It's slightly prejudiced to expect everybody to have grasped the correct way to utilize "Grammer". I say this because not only does this belittle a Individual but It also poses a peer pressure on a person on a forum, If like this thread they read that a very popular "Pet hate" Is the Incorrect use of grammer !  I'm not saying that everybody Is of that opinion but there Is a good majority within this thread, And to somebody who Is not competent or confident with the use of good grammer this could be perceived as a forum put off..  It's not nice to have the thought of people sneering at you because of the above reasons and this Is one of my pet hates, If people spell words wrong or don't Incorparate the appropiate grammer then really does It matter ?..  At the end of the day a poorly wrote post or a good written post, We can still distinguish the context of the post surely ?..  Ok rant over !  No offense meant to anybody we are all entitled to our views I was merely airing what rattles my cage..  Thanks... Tom.
  14. Agreed Tim your correct of course but It looks like one of the many models I would love to try In all honesty I like the spitfire models also..  I bet their probably a better bet do you think ?   Thanks for the edit also Tim.. Edited By thomas salisbury on 24/11/2010 18:51:03
  15. I know that being totally new to this hobby that this would not be the choice of model to purchase. Having said that I don't see the harm In having a model to look forward to In the future when I am able to cope with such a model. So does anybody have one of these ? Or have a opinion on this model ?  Seems like a pretty good model to strive towards I know Its Jet like but looks like fun to fly.  Was just wondering what the more experienced people on here thought about the model. Would It be difficult to fly and handle E.T.C. ? There are two links one of the model specs and another of a small video Jackal 50 Video.....
