  1. All rib stiches and tapes done. Sealed with a 50/50 dope & thinners, as i believe the the tapes would lift. Before i add panel lines and rivets, will now take a look at adding some cooling baffles to cowl. This may take a little while as i hope to have a go with turbocad. SW
  2. Certainly John, first one is at 12 wks weighing 5Kg, sorry about the orientation. Second taken today at 6 months and 25Kg Hope you enjoy
  3. Its been quite some time since anything has been done on the chippy. Some due to a half hearted start on the fury and partly taking ownership of a young pup. Having decided to stop the fury build, hope to get the chippy moving along a bit. Starting to get some detail work done. Will coat the stitching with 50/50 dope to help with the adhesion as the solartex does appear to be lifting in a couple of places. Just out of Interest the covering for the wings etc is silk over tissue. Surprising how long it takes. Regards SW
  4. Not sure sure with the lack of progress on my fury (hope to restart soon) that I count as a builder but will be going to Gaydon. Hopefully to get some motivation and inspiration. Happy to meet up if we arrange time and place. Regards SW
  5. Enjoyed meeting up, nice to put faces to names, most enjoyable. I'm sure that it will help with keeping the projects moving, all be it very slowly. There will be at least three of us who will not be venturing near another D Bryant plan. However credit is due to Mr Bryant for designing what I hope will be a very good sport scale model. Especially given that these days we have CAD and the internet for searching details etc. Graham, its never too late, just remember small steps a few milestones and you will get there. Just enjoy every step. Have a safe trip and enjoy Devon. Regards SW
  6. Will be incommunicado for most of this evening, so just name time & place and I will endevour to be there. Kind Regards SW
  7. Just a few bits done, have been side tracked with DIY. Servo rails mounted and push rod layouts planned, this is something that I normally leave to the end Modified F1 for Laser 80 Getting ready for fun and games with fuselage formers. Not much building done but now starting to fly regular, really prefer to be outside than being in model shop if the weather is decent.
  8. Hi Danny Below is the base tissue Silk with one or two coats of dope, mixture of 25% shrinking, 25% non-shrinking and 50% thinners. Finished and awaiting detail and primer They are all in a draw in the loft/model room and still look good after a year. I will complete the chippy after the fury. Hope this helps in some small way. Kind Regards SW
