  1. Eary Bird. So when you found the models were still there after upgrading, did you manage to save them to the SDcard?
  2. Yes the model settings are still in the Taranis. They must be held in the EEprom. I can't find any way of writing to the SDcard in the SD card menu but I think there is a way to save the EEprom somewhere.
  3. I'm using Companion 2.2.4 and the icons don't really match yours. Is the one I want first 'Read Models & Settings from radio'.
  4. I don't have any models on the sd card but they appear in the Transmitter when turned on without any SD card in. CAN I SAVE THEM!!
  5. How odd! I've just tried downloading various X9 SD card images from the OpenTX site and non of them contain any BMPs in the Image folder! Horus SD cards still contain them, but not Taranis models. I'll try pasting my Image folder from my Taranis SD card folder, I still have 2.2 installed so lets see how that works Images.zip185.76 kB · 2 downloads That . worked fine I've goy my images back Thank You I don't Know how but after loading V0021 to my formatted SD card and inserting the images you sent me and putting the sd card in the Tx my model settings came back!!!
  6. Posted 8 minutes ago If it was me I'd update your TX to the latest version, 3.11, as your 2.2.4 is still 3 years or so out of date. Yes but I thought it best to go one re lease at a time. I've still cocked it up.
  7. OK Bob. I downloaded v0021 recently to go with open tx 2.2.4. but there doesn't seem to be anything in the images file.
  8. It looks I did it 5years ago! I think i did a backup in Companion but don't remember how. Is it useless?
  9. Eary Bird. this is my SD card. SDcard16-09-2016.bin
  10. Early Bird. When I try to open the sd card file I get this message-- Invalid binary EEPROM file.
  11. Andy. Where did the BMP files come from in the first place?
  12. I thought I had several backups of my SD card but now when I look at them. the content is all computer code and I don't Know what to do with it. I've tried to load the whole card to Companion 2.1 but can't. I suppose I can reinstall all my model settings into 2.2 manually but where can I find the previously automatically loaded BMP files? ,
  13. OK. I'm getting there - slowly. I've formatted the sd card and copied the version V0021 to the card - wowee! Now I just need to load my models and the BMPs. If I can find them in Campanion 2.1.
  14. The sd card is in my radio and is full of the old files from Open Tx 2.1.. Allthough there are only 3 models in that directory, when I have 6 models on the radio! The sdcard V0021 zipfile is always put in my radio file on the C:\ drive and unzipped there. When I try to load it to Companion is where I fail. Companion reports directory not found.
  15. Hi Matty. "Thanks for the steps you've advised; The problem I'm having is going from 2.1 to 2.2. - I've done the transmitter firmware. The SD card is proving problematic. I can't get Companion 2.2 to load the SD card contents, the message I get is "can't extract radio\radio.bin" even if I try to load zip file, unzipped file, or unzipped file contents. I also have received a message destination file is same as source file.
  16. I've just upgraded my Taranis X9d+ to version 2.2.4. It works o.k. but I get a wrong SD card warning, I've downloaded V0035 sdcard, and unzipped it. It's in my downloads folder. When I try to load it to companion it can't find the folder! what is going wrong? If I can sort this with your help, do I need to upgrade the receivers?
  17. I've never seen such comprehensive instructions for O. S. engines. thanks.
  18. In the papers with my FSR it describes 3 carbs 2B 2CA and 2CB. is the 2CB the latest model?
  19. Sorry I was expecting to see FSR on the crankcase. I now think it is an FSR, after comparing it to my FSR they both have 2607 on the backplate!
  20. It's not the FSR It is just an OS Max but with a bolted on muffler.
  21. Can any one tell me which model carburettor was fitted to the O.S. Max after 21 on the one with strap on silencer The engine has a 10mm choke as opposed to the earlier one with 9mm choke.
  22. Yes definitely. I'm looking at one now it's a 10x6 Grish/Tornado prop. Although it's made as a pusher the leading edge is still on the name side of the hub. So it has to be mounted with the manufactures name to the prop drive! Edited By Viv Letherby on 24/01/2021 19:42:38
  23. No more licences but a whole new raft of certifications to wade through!
  24. Yes, Futaba are very reliable the only failures I've had has been from crashes, stripped gears and one that just won't work any more! Does anyone know why the S3004 is £1 cheaper than the S3001 from Servo shop?
