  1. I have a kit in the process of being built and new wings being made by the original tradesman who manufactured the kit. I had a model of this some 20 odd years ago and have been hunting for another for some time. Unfortunately SLEC have no plans to reintroduce the kit again as they no longer have the rights to do so. This is a shame as it was an enjoyable model to build and fly.
  2. In one of the pictures it appears to have no dihedral on the bottom wing. If I remember correctly there should be some.
  3. I have just acquired a new in box T240 and looking at your thread I need to update my thinking on engine size it was going to be Zenoah 26 which will probably be too small. I dont have a DLE 30 but an OS FT 300 twin. In your opinion would that be too heavy?
  4. Thanks for the info guys, its given me some ideas. Tony.
  5. Question. Does anyone know what models are available that would take these engines, preferably warbird type though not exclusively? Size, make and price would be handy. I can and do build from plans as well.
  6. Info for Phill Mainwaring re- his unfinished model of Christen Eagle. I have a model of the same thing and the building plans and instructions. The kit I have is an old Pilot Models by OK Model Co Ltd Japan. It is 1/3.7 scale, length 55-1/8 inches, wing span 63-3/8 inches, weight 7000 - 7500g, engine 20 - 30cc. Apart from a very slight variation in size and you have a one piece cowl mine is two piece, it looks the same. Pilot models are no longer made. The balance point (CG) should be inline with the rear cabane and the top wing incidence is set at 0 degrees. Hope this is of some use. Tony.
