  2. Just back from the flying field Toto. Great calm night for flying. Hope you get a few flights in this weekend coming. The forecast over here is not good starting with tomorrow a lot of rain coming in. Got three flights tonight with the Avistar.
  3. I hope you do get flying tomorrow night Toto. I'm going flying also as its going to be dead calm
  4. Selling the high quality Great Planes Avistar Elite arf Advanced Trainer for electric and glow power. The asking price is £200.
  5. Above is the noted up brand new Great Planes Avistar Elite arf. This plane was bought direct from the United States and cannot be bought in the UK. I bought two of these planes in February 2024. Here are photos of my other Avistar which I fly regularly and love. It is a top quality plane. I just have too little room in the house for another one. Kind regards Aidan.
  6. This is the Avistar Elite as it is received from my postman in February all wrapped up and never opened. It's a magnificent trainer. My other Avistar Elite can be seen flying on my YouTube channel. Aidan McAtamney
  7. I'm selling a brand new Great Planes Avistar Elite arf which I bought in America earlier this year. I bought two of them, I'm flying one regularly at the club and selling the other which has never been out of its box when I received it from America. It cost me £200 and that's what I'm selling it for. I will post it to any address in the UK. The buyer pays the postage. This is a fantastic plane to fly and very well built and covered. Whoever the buyer will be, he or she will not be disappointed in the quality of this model aircraft.
  8. When I ploughed the Tiger 60 in a couple of months ago I picked up the pieces and went home a bit annoyed. Years ago when that happened I went home crying lol. You learn to live with it and definitely don't get too sentimental about any plane.
  9. Congratulations Toto. I knew it was only a matter of time . As Ed Stewart, Michael Aspel and Leslie Crothers once said, "It's Friday, It's five to five and it's CackerJack" You have certainly earned yourself a CrackerJack pencil and now that you have broken the ice, your confidence will soar and you will feel as if you can conquer the world , well conquer Edinburgh anyway for a start. I know how you are feeling tonight like you are walking on air and that's a great place to be. You were up for the challenge from the word go to fly solo and if Amy Johnston were alive today she would be saying "Toto your a gem and now the A Certificate Fixed Wing Test awaits you so grab it by the horns and never say die". Well done man. Enjoy a few beers you deserve it and as they say keep the wings level and fly below the clouds.
  10. I'm selling my OS 95V engine . It has only 2 hours and 10 minutes of run time. Its in excellent condition. Anything I own is well cared for. I have a brand new Saito that is going into the Escapade so I have no more need for this engine. It cost me £375 . The asking price is £250. I will pay the postage. Kind regards Aidan McAtamney.
  11. I'm going for a haircut myself on Saturday Toto. It takes all of 5 minutes. My late father God bless him always said, " Aidan, you always had a great head of hair and now you've a great head of skin" lol
  12. Thanks Toto. The Calmato is a graceful flying machine that was made for the skies. Its one of those planes that gives satisfaction. Kind regards Aidan.
  13. Good luck tomorrow Toto.
  14. Above picture shows the push rods attached to the control surfaces on the Tiger 60.
  15. I used the appropriate size of foam to keep receiver battery and receiver secure.
  16. This was where I positioned my receiver and receiver battery on the Tiger 60.
  17. Good stuff Toto, it's all go and it's good to be busy.
  18. I wish I could help you out here Toto. But alas I crashed my Tiger 60 on its maiden flight. Still havnt a clue what happened that day, but the plane veered violently to the left upon take off at full throttle and ploughed into the ground. I hope you have better luck with your Tiger 60 as I'm sure you will. It's a beautiful plane. I took a few photos of it during the assembly. Will send you a few if it helps. Cheers and kind regards Aidan
  19. Thanks Toto for your kind words. Two weeks ago it was a very different story. Both myself and the cameraman were nearly eaten alive by swarms of midges in their millions that night. It was remincent of a Hammer Horror film from the 70s, but Aidan didn't bow down to them, he gallantly kept filming on through the invasion and I did my best to keep an eye on the plane lol
  20. Just back from the flying field with the two stroke Calmato. It was dead calm down there tonight and thankfully not a midget in sight lol.
