  1. I have a virtually unused Meteor 40, still in its box with the instructions. I bought it in 1975. They where made in Erdington, Birmingham. The factory was in Station Street. I went there once when I broke the needle valve. The factory was tiny, only a hand full of people. They were very helpful and gave me a new needle F.O.C. Its a real sham that they are not still around
  2. It would seem that Brolly have ceased trading. This is a great pity as they are great props and I use nothing else. Are they going to be produced by anyone else?
  3. I made a slight error in this posting, as I went for the Black Horse version in the end.I will move the battery into the cowl, but there is nothing else that I can see that will make much of a difference.
  4. I decided to go for this model. Its a very well made and complete kit.I am putting a Saito 82 Four stroke up front. My only concern is that it looks as if I am going to need about 1.5lb of lead in the front to get the CoG in the right place. Is this normal? Thanks, Ian

    Wot Trainer

I have now completed to new tail plane. I covered it in glass cloth to make it more ridged. It weighs only 9 grams more than the original and the COG does not seem to have changed.  After some re-trimming, it now flies superbly well and the trim does not keep changing as it did before. Wot Trainer

Yes, the CoG will need to be checked. It will be interesting to see how much it changes. It should be ok with a bit a lead in the nose. Its a big plane with a light wing loading, so it shouldnt be a problem.

    Futaba T8FG Charging

Hi David, This is what I thought. Is there a problem charging the batteries in the transmitter?I only charge at maximum of 500ma.

    Wot Trainer

I have a Wot Trainer and still love flying it, even though I have moved on to low wingers.I use it with a buddy box to teach and it is ideal for this. The only problem that I have with it, is that the elevator trim needs to be reset at the start of every flying session. I am fairly sure that this is due to the tailplane warping and I intend to replace it with a solid one. (The original is open structure). This should be easy as it just bolts on. 9.  I have a T8FG Tx.The manual makes a point of saying that it must only be charged with the supplied charger.I have always charged my other Futaba Tx's with my field charger. Does anyone know of a reason why I shouldnt do this with the T8FG.
  10. I am thinking of buying a World Models Chipmunk. I have searched through this forum but cant find any information on it. Has anyone flown this model? Thanks, Ian  Edited By Ian Price 1 on 26/11/2010 16:52:25 Edited By Ian Price 1 on 26/11/2010 16:52:57
