  1. Thanks Keith, the major attacks were scary, you just lose balance and fall over! Just need some completely free months to feel confident about flying again. Yes, I suppose I should post a build log for the Starliner too:
  2. Unfortunately not a lot of flying at all. Have been suffering with vertigo since last summer, doc says its related to crystals in the inner ear detaching causing instant loss of balance. Didnt happen often but is scary when it does so flying was out. Good news is that it hasnt happened for over 3 months now so it is likely that it was a transient episode. There was also the small issue of a friends dogs bursting into the workshop and knocking the TSR2 off its stand and onto the TC that was underneath. Repaired both over the winter.
  3. Not yet Kev Just back from holiday but all the wiring and everything is now complete. Final tests were showing a little too much over 400 watts with a HOC pack on the 8x6 props. Have limited the throttle range to keep it around 380 max for now. Fingers crossed for some calm weather at the weekend.
  4. A bit of re-designing at the weekend.Did a CG recheck now that the covering is done and where I had planned to place the battery (on the front of the wing) would require extra ballast on the nose for final trimming. So the installation was changed and a battery tray made up that goes further into the nose up to the first solid former. CG now looks ok in the mid position and some adjustment is possible.   Just waiting for a few odd pieces now, magnets to hold the nacelle cowls and some Y leads to complete the installation.

  6. Just the wiring to tidy up, ailerons links and the battery box now. Airframe weight 1160 gm, 1450 with battery.
  7. The basic colour scheme is finished. Just need to add the detail and markings. Finally the tinted plastic for the windows is here.

  12. Posted by Danny Fenton on 10/06/2011 18:54:13:   Wow!  That is just...... wow  I can't see that i'd ever have the patience for that level of detail.
  13. The mad period of activity that is spring is nearly over, the hay has been cut, baled and stacked in the loft.Time to get the Solarfilm out:  Doing this from memory as all my old photos got lost in a house move at uni many years ago. Looking at pics of the TC, I realised that the side windows were slightly too high. These have been re-shaped and the wider vertical pieces added:
