  1. I was hoping for that response, Have been so tempted to see how i go with it , but the truth is i know it will end in tears. thanks for the tip with regards to brentford rc , i am nipping in there tomorrow so will ask about flight training.
  2. Hi chaps, been flying IC helicopters for a few years, and think i am a competent pilot on them. I am now making move to Aircraft and have nudged up a a load of hours on the sim. Question is i have bought a 90mm EDF eurofighter and it is ready to go, it is looking so tempting to get in the air, shall i risk it? or can anyone give me a number of a good flight school in west london area.
  3. on a scale of one to 10 i think 9 is around about how deep i am in the brown stuff, i have talked today about a nice boating holiday to the broads, and about that new car she wants, i also comment on how nicw that silver necklace is that i bought her for christmas to soften the blow. think i will just come clean take the beating and the 2 weeks in st peters and be done with it, i really cant hack those cold sweats and sleepless nights anymore!!! why do i do it to myself? Will be seeking advice shortly on single persons flats for rent............must have wheel chair access.
  4. many thanks chaps for the great advice, i shall try them all one by one, incidently the closest hostpital is st peters chertsey, will await cards!!!!
  5. yes i certainly know the pain i went through mastering helicopters........very painful indeed!!!  i think you are right frank just got back from flying my easystar with my son and it is very slow, i bought the easystar to learn fpv on.  just wanted to thank you both for the tips, i am chuffed i chose to come onto the forum.
  6. could buy her that perfume she goes on about to soften the blow!!!
  7. hi chaps , could anyone give me some advice on how to hide my planes from her indoors, cos when she finds out how much i have just spent she is gonna come at me with a sledge hammer!!!
  8. Posted by Frank Skilbeck on 30/12/2010 12:33:30: Just had a look at the manual and also some videos, I see they've also mixed the canards in to assist the ailerons in the roll, you will not be able to do this without using a 7+ channel Tx (e.g. Dx7 or Dx8). But you could adjust the linkage so the canards are driven off one servo and mixed to elevator only, I don't think they will add much in roll (aileron) anyway.   Impressive model, hope you are using an AR6200 rx with satellite as a minimum.     hello Frank, yes i have the ar6200 reciever, am i right then i thinking that it will fly ok without the canards used as ailerons, and the canards could be used as elevators only. i dont intend to fly this doing all the 3d type flying was just after some standard flying if you know what i mean.
  9. hi Pete, well i have limited experience in aircraft to be honest, i fly ic helicopters normally but want to make the jump to aircraft, i have a multiplex easystar which i am going to learn on, there is no way i will get this baby in the air until i have fully understood what i am doing, i am probably looking to getting it in the air in early spring and between that purchase a smaller cheaper one to gain expeirience. i think i was a bit stupid to buy this really but it looked so damn good in the shop and it keeps me occupied on these cold dark nights!!
  10. got the little ar6000 ( i think ) it came with the dx6i, thanks for all your help i really appreiciate it , i think i may have jumped in the deep end with this one though!
  11. its going to be a nightmare this i can tell!! many thanks i will be experimenting a lot tonight.
  12. Many thanks for this, will give it a go, might have to take the plunge and splash out on the dx7, getting very expensive this lark!!!  will let you know if this works.
  13. hi there , i use a multplex easystar, got my fpv kit from firstpersonview.co.uk, was initially using the twinstar but had a bit of a heavy landing and broke the fuse in 2. the best thing i like about the easy star is the pan servo cockpit that fits onto it. had a good flight a few weeks ago, however didnt realise i was in a cow field and was so immersed that when i took my glasses off was surrounded by a herd of em !!!
  14. 21.Connect your 7-channel receiver to the servo wires at the rear of the cockpit opening. These connections are labeled. 22.Left Aileron and Left Vector = Aileron 23.Right Aileron and Right Vector = Elevator 24.Left Canard = Aux 1 (Flap) 25.Right Canard = Aux 2 26.Left/Right Thrust Vector and Nose Wheel Steering = Rudder 27.Retracts = Landing Gear 28.Throttle = Throttle   this is the lay out as per the 7 channel reciever . any help you could possibly give me would be most appreiciated.
