2. Posted by Tim Hooper on 14/05/2011 13:38:45: Giant Cod are also offering a 9-channel DSM2 rx for the miserly sum of £22.15. Spekky compatible rx  tim The product page says:
**These are NOT the same as other units sold in China. We have produced these units entirely in-house. Customers will notice our PCB layout and components are not the same as other copies. ***OrangeRx are guaranteed to hold bind and work at full range.
So, It's likely that they are not exactly the same.

5. Your link says that there should be an electrify 25A esc. If that is correct, the part numer should be GPMM1820 and this could be the manual: http://manuals.hobbico.com/gpm/gpmm1800-1841-manual-v1_2.pdf
6. I saw that Hobbyking is selling 6 types of Scorpion motors. I never heard of them before, anyone here with experience with Scorpion motors?   http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?idCategory=457
7. I have been looking at this Cellmeter 8 that is US$ 90 at Hobbyking. How much do the battery docter and fusion cost? Can they all do the same?
8. Yeah, you will need a runway. It comes with fixed under carriage. Since flying weight is over 1.5 kg, I guess hand launching is out of the question.
9. I think the EDF is included in this one, but it looks tempting to me: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=15525 It's a fiber glass F-22
10. Buying an esc can save you a lot of money. In cases the esc decides it has been enough and sets itself on fire, your complete jet will be gone.
11. LDS AA and AAA's is what I use. The AA's I use in all kind of electric appliance, like the ones you mention, the AAA's are used in electric appliances as well as my Mini-Z racing car. They work well for me and not too expensive.
12. The description of the esc says that it should work with the BESC programming card, so I guess your card was a dud. You can wait for the new programmer, but you can also try to program it through your transmitter. I always find that a big hassle (hence I bought the card), but it is doable. If you are not sure if you have the correct settings, do it again. You (virtually) can't destroy the ESC. In the reviews I saw someone saying that it (your ESC) has the same programming instructions as the Pentium from Hobbywing. See if this link helps...  Oh well, I was going to give you a link to the Hobbywing instructions, but the site does not work at the moment. I will try again later, or try if you can find it yourself. This is where the site normally can be found: http://www.hobbywing.com
13. Your ESC has a BEC, this does mean that you need to connect the ESC with the servo wire to the programmer card to the pins that are located near the word BEC. Then you power your ESC like you would do normally. Now the LED's should light up. I did settings earlier following the instructions for my ESC (Hobbyking 25-30A) using the transmitter.  Does this help?
14. Tried my card last Friday and it works as supposed. Leds light up according to setting made earlier by hand.  So, probably you have one that is defective.
15. I just received the same programmer card, haven't checked it out yet. Will do that soon to see how/if it works. Won't be until Friday though.
