  2. Its not that batteries cannot be fast charged, its that the circuit within the tx is so thin it could just burn up if fast charged through the tx. @import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  3. hi seecomber, i have seen on many occasions mostly futaba charging at high rates through the tx can cause serious damaged the charging circuit. I would strongly advise removing the battery for fast charging. The circuitry is not designed for high current loads.     I understand it can be inconvenient but given the risk its not worth it, in my opinion.   Regards Circus BearEdited By Circus Bear on 30/01/2011 18:59:23
  4. Hi Diamond Geezer   I Slow charge through the TX at 70-100mA so that the circuitry is not damaged. I rarely fast charge tx batteries but with the battery removed I would go at no more the 1.5A   I hope this helps   Circus Bear

  9. Code of conduct read and understood.   I have 15 years with a mixture of free flight antics included, rc wise i am able but i dont fly enough in my opinion   I help my grandad over to the flying field at chelmsford where/when possibe and we regularly attend the Old Warden weekends for a spot of free flight action   I was lucky enough to work in the industry for a while picking up flying skills etc but left to persue a career in control instrumentation engineering, now that i have been away for a while i miss the aeromodelling chat so here I am.   Thanks for welcoming me in.   Nick

  14. Hi there   I have been enjoying this hobby for about 15 years now but do not seem to get out and fly as much as I want hopefully this year that will change (I have a nice Flair SE5A smiling at me). I'm looking to find/join a club in the south/east Hertfordshire area can anybody help?   Kind Regards   Nick
  15. Having the aerial collapsed increases the current drawn from the battery leading to the output transistor to warm if left down for long periods, so during set up it is a good idea to extend the aerial if possible.   when range checking I always have the aerial fully collapsed and have had no problems at all.   Nick
  16. Hi, Between the ESC and RX but ensure the ferrite ring is close to the RX. i'm not sure about what ring or how many turns but a model shop should be able to help. hope thats ok. Nick
  17. you could fit a ferrite ring on the speedo wire close to whereit fits in to the reciever to cut out any noise that may exist. NickEdited By Circus Bear on 22/01/2011 18:17:54
  18. Hi Richard, I would suggest getting it back to Futaba to be serviced, this would put any doubt you have to rest. if you do sendthe FF7for servicepart of the service would be to check the output power and the frequency deviation of the module. I hope this helps. Nick
