  1. Here is the latest edition to my hangar,It's a 60" Lazy bee scratch built from photographs and suitably scaled.Powered by a Turnigy Aerodrive 1100kv motor through a 40 amp esc.Now waiting for the opportunity to maiden her. Edited By Lord Depron on 27/01/2012 21:37:02
  2. Hi Steve.I brushed on a mix of water based varnish and talc then sanded to a glass like finish before applying two light coats of plastikote enamel.
  3. I have just completed and flown the Poppet,a Falcon kit designed by Vic Smeed. It has been converted from free flight to RC.It's powered by a 2200KV outrunner running off a 2 cell giving me a flight time on just under half throttle of some 15 minutes. She flys beautifully. The tail feathers are made from laminated 2mm Depron to ease construction but still carry the same dimensions.Another model I have built is a cartoon version of a Fokker Eindecker, way out of scale of course but quite a lively performer,at 25" wingspan not a large model.
  4. Thanks for the comments guys, she flys extremely well and has a fair turn of speed. At low speed she takes on that characteristic nose high attitude with no sign of dropping a wing tip,she also glides very well.
  5. Hi guys, thought I'd share my latest Depron project with you all. It's a semi scale TSR2,24 inch wingspan, length 38 inches.Powered by 2600kva outrunner with pusher prop.Control surfaces are taileron.Just needs a calm day now to maiden her, fingers crossed.
  6. Thank you for that warm welcome BEB,once I've got acustomed to the workings of the forum I will add links to some of my video's that can be seen online and add more photo's to my album of my creations.Glad you like the little Depron WebBit.
  7. Hi everyone,my name is Geoff and I live in Eccles near Manchester..I started flying model aircraft back in the early sixties mainly free flight and eventually in the early 70s progressed to radio control,my first model being the Graupner Taxi.At that time I lived in Leigh so I joined the Leigh Model Flying Club. With the arrival of marriage and a family my aeromodelling took a back seat until 4 years ago when I was again bitten by the Bug.I chose for my first model the Parkzone Super Cub just to see if I still had what it takes and now I have some 20 models stacked in my hangar,my latest aquisition being the Parkzone P47 with retracts.I have also began to do my own builds again but using Depron as my medium.I fly in Manchester with a group of like minded chaps and participate on another website forum where my home built models have become somewhat of a topic earning me the name of Lord Depron which unfortunately I seem to be stuck with.Well that's me,63 years young and enjoying every minute of it.Happy flying guys.
