Hi Chris, Received the boards and all the parts have been bought so I’m ready to make a start, as I’m in lock down I have plenty of time on my hands! Being new to programming I intend to start slowly with the current and voltage sensor. I have decided to go with the HGLRC XT60 unit as it’s a nice and tidy unit. I noticed form your photo’s back on page 3 (17/4/19) you have a potential divider across the Lipo +ve & -ve. These resistors look to be 15K & 270 ohms. Am I correct in thinking you are looking to monitor a 5 cell lipo, but they don’t quite match the table in the RCME article? Also, you have a 47K resistor between the -ve and CRNT which I presume is the current sense to the Arduino but why 47K? Finally, I intend to use the S Port port on my receiver but there are 3 options for to choose from in the “config_basic.h” file. FRSKY_SPORT, FRSKY_HUB, FRSKY_SPORT_HUB. I take it FRSKY_HUB is for the old telemetry hub used with the D series receivers but what are the other two? Thanks Dennis -

Hello Mike, Just before Christmas you guided me through flashing new firmware to both my D8R-11Plus and D4R-11 receivers. At that time the latest version was “d8rii_rom030919” and the new firmware loaded to my Taranis X9D Plus was: OPenTX Ver 224, The bootloader was OpentX 224.bin and the XJT was updated to XJT_EU_170317.frk Since then you have uploaded two new versions. Those being 211219 & 050220. Do I need to load these sequentially or can I go direct to 050220? Does this last version include the update from FRSKY that is currently going around all the forums? I see to that there is a new version of OpenTX , does this need to be loaded to the transmitter too and is there a new bootloader as well. Do I have to reprogram the XJT as well? Hope what I am asking makes sense as basically I’m not sure if the whole setup need to be re programmed or not? Many Thanks Dennis

Hi Chris, Peter, I would like to make up 6 units and currently have 3 of the Arduino boards with the oblong reset button. I could take 3 of the older boards and 3 of the newer boards as a precaution to when I buy new processors, then I can be certain that they will fit without a problem. If that is ok. Dennis -

Hello All, Iam trying to upgrade the XJT firmware on my Taranis. It currently has non-EU firmware and I need to update it with the latest EU-LBT software. I have looked at the FRSKY website download section and cannot decide which is the correct upgrade. I seem to have a choice of 2 VER 170317 dated 2017-05-21 or VER151223 dated 2015-12-23 please advise which is the correct version that I need for here in the UK Many thanks Dennis

Thanks for this info Mike, I take it this new firmware will work on the D4R-11 4 channel receivers too? Dennis
-
hello all, I currently have D8R-11 Plus receivers and I as yet have not upgraded my X9D plus transmitter to EU LBT firmware. If I upgrade the transmitter to LBT will I still be able to use my old receivers or can I upgrade the firmware in these too? look forward to your replies Dennis

Hello, Just got one of these and I cannot find in the instruction booklet the control throws for any of the surfaces. Can someone please tell me their setup for the Elevator, Rudder & Aileron. Many thanks Dennis Mulhair -
Absolutly Fabulous Danny. It realy does look like the real thing. You should be very proud of it. Dennis

Hi Danny Looks superb!!! Just one question? if you start attacking it with any type of abrasive wont it flatten the rivets? Dennis

Hello, Can someone please give me some assistance with the setup of a Futaba 9C. I am trying to set up a Phoenix 1600 electric glider with 2 aileron servos, 2 flap servos, throttle on CH3, rudder servo and elevator servo. I would also like to have crow braking possibly on a switch. Many thanks Dennis Mulhair

Danny, Superb pictures. Thank you very very much. Dennis
-
Danny, Glad to see your back, I was wondering what had happened. Me I'm still stuck with a bent tail plane. Dennis
-
I'm stuck on the elevators, my first attempt warped. I will try wetting them down to see if they straighten otherwise its a rebuild. I may be a long way behind but I will keep at it. This forum has been a great help, I would of been lost without it. Thanks everybody for your help so far. Dennis

Danny, Once again a great video. Dennis

Happy Christmas one and all!!! Dennis

Superb work Danny! Where did you get the hinges? Dennis

Andy, Try an off cut of 15mm copper pipe and sharpen up the edges. For bigger holes you can use 22mm pipe. Works for me Dennis
