  1. Seagull models have a new mosquito out in August 17. A nice fit for those 48's I reckon.
  2. Hi Andy, How are you getting on with this engine?
  3. Bump! Has anyone got any more info re this? I have been chasing up Hitec but they are keeping their cards close to their chest!
  4. I'm sure most people would be willing to give feedback on the initial batch and help out. After all we will all benefit eventually!
  5. Like the black engines. Great for choice. Any update on a 360v Petrol twin yet? The petrol 180 looks great btw. I would really like a 360V in petrol Cheers
  6. Good thread...thanks for posting. I am interesting in a valach 70cc 4 stroke for my esm 50cc spitfire. Interested to see how you get on with this engine!
  7. Thanks Jon, I am thinking of getting a laser 200v for my flair fokker dr1 1/4 scale. In terms of petrol -- are you still in the R&D phase of looking at petrol engines? Or is there a likely hood that petrol engines will be available in the near future.
  8. Arrto, I would happily mix my own brew. Although, I have never done that. I usually fly petrol. Do you just mix methanol and oil, do you need nitro as well? I would be happier if I could run at 5% oil or even lower like the petrol engines as it engines just run so much clean.
  9. Thanks for a very helpful discussion. I am a typical club flyer in that I am looking for well made engines using petrol around the 25cc - 50cc size. I would welcome the chance to get a lazer 200v engine running petrol.   I don't like glow because of the mess it makes and because it is hard to get hold of and the quality is very inconsistant. I live in Wales and model shops are few and far between.   Has any decision be reached about new models or fuels as yet?   Thanks for all the input. Edited By Mark Reynolds on 02/04/2016 11:23:36
  10. Stuka is going well. However, my flying club has lost its flying site so I am unable to fly at the moment. Apart from that the plane is ace.
  11. I will try and get a video of the sound when flying, not long into the maiden, my motor shed its magnets so I will replace and then try again. Fortunately, we decided not to have the sound on for the maiden so I managed to land it. Tony: I am using the model sounds inc sound card; with that you can download and install your own sounds as long as you put them in the right file format. I have an air raid siren on my stuka, the sound file for that is around 80 seconds long. So you can mix and match as much as you want. Regarding volume levels my sound is around 107db at 1 meter from the plane. loud enough for me!
  12. Plane has flown. Flew perfect. My best plane yet. Sound is cool too. **LINK**
  13. Sound system installed and plane is ready to go. Maiden went well. It sounds ace when flying. **LINK**
  14. I maidened my stuka today. It flew perfect -- no trim required. The sound system is working well. Unfortunately, the magnets came off the motor, I managed to save it but damaged the undercarriage. I will fix and retry again. How you getting on with yours? **LINK** Mark
  15. I set my aileron to the same angle as the wing and then aligned the flaps to match the aileron. I have not maidened it yet, just waiting for the weather to break and then have a little practice before I stick it up in the air. Flap speed sounds about right to me.
