  1. Posted by Chris Bott on 31/05/2010 19:24:55: Danny, Scott, Stephen, who is coming to the RCM&E fly in?   Here's another to add to the Seagull 120 Sea Fury display slot 6S2P A123 powered of course..     PS - Thanks Danny for all yr help.   Edited By Chris Bott on 31/05/2010 19:26:18 Edited By Chris Bott on 31/05/2010 19:26:51  Says 6S2P at the top. Who posted it though....
  2. We'll try and make it though. I'd be cool to have a 3 ship!   Before I order the A123s, confirm 6S2P?  Two of them?   I'd hate to get it wrong.
  3. I've just realised that the Fly-in is this month!!!!   Which day will you both be there? My son moves house that weekend and I will have to help, so maybe the sunday would be best for me?
  4. I get the idea though. I have a pair of 3S lipos in parallel in my Mohawk.   I have asked for quotes for the decals for "Argonaut" and "Iraqi AF".   Let's see what Pyramid can do.
  5. Thanks mate, I am looking myself but as yet no joy. I'm keen to order soon if I have a hope of being ready for the Fly - In!Edited By Shaun Chant on 05/06/2010 10:07:26
  6. Also do you know of an alternative motor supplier as HK have them on back order.
  7. Cheers guys. I'll have a think about colour schemes and let you know Danny. I live near Shrewsbury but commute down the M6 every sunday night, returning friday night, so it sounds like a good idea.   Can I get some more detail on the wiring up of your charging sockets etc please?   Also, am I right thinking C6 below is the right configuration before I order them?      Chris do you fly with that red thing attached then?Edited By Shaun Chant on 05/06/2010 08:59:29
  8. Thanks Chris, no worries about the painting, I'm just being necky!
  9. Just re-read it 6S2P arranged into two packs of 3x2 cells?
  10. So confirm I'd need two 6S1P bricks arranged 3x2?
  11. Thanks mate. That motor is on back order with no set date for stock.   I like it too, but I still have a hankering for the Iraqi one.   I'll be brush painting again as I can't really spray paint whilst away at work and that's mainly where I'll be building in the evenings.... unless someone offers to spray it for me Edited By Shaun Chant on 04/06/2010 21:14:05
  12. Dunno if my charger handles A123 / LiFe, I'll check.   Would you please be kind enough to throw up the links to your motor, esc and A123 sources please?        Edited By Shaun Chant on 04/06/2010 21:00:30
  13. I'm sure I said that....... LOL   Not decided yet Tim. Leccy looks good and less fuss, but expensive and very short flight times.   I/C sounds better but over time it will muck up the finish.   So I need persuading one way or the other.   BTW I have just re-read this thread from the start. I've got some work to do to be ready for the Fly-In.....
  14. RIGHT!!!! It's all your fault!!!!   I've bought another one   £120 with special club discount. Not too bad I suppose.   Now to decide on the power system? Leccy looks fun but expensive. A 120 4st gets my vote at the moment.   Also need to go firm on a scheme. I have the paint from my old one still, this would be quickest. But the iraqi one is also very interesting.   C'mon, give us some pics.   I'll start a new thread too.
  15. £156? Where?   I couldn't finish it that soon as I only get weekends to work on it and I am hoping to get my Sky Raider finished and my Boomerang Intro rebuild after u/c install, ready in time.
  16. This one I think   Now I need a kit, but have you seen the price now we've made them popular?
  17. If (when) I do another, it might be based on the Iraqi AF "Baghdad Fury" just to be different.
