Blimey, with that picture, you really get to see the actual size of the thing, may have to re-think the size of my workbench, should not be long now before I start my build, all the bits and bobs have arrived, just got to finish the tileing in the bathroom and can then concentrate on the build. Hi, I have never had any problem with Paypal, mine is linked to a card, but I think you can add funds to an account as you suggested. Tony

Anthony Billings replied to Ian Jones's topic in Gadgets and Electronics
I would be interested Ian. Tony -
The end was so funny, the wife asked what I was laughing at, when I explained, she said I was just nasty.

Hi guy's, just read this thread and thought I would try mine, and mine works fine. Dx7 Phoenix ver 3.0s just went and changed my chosen model to the spitfire, then went into the system menu, selected "your controls" then "edit profile" and asigned my switches for flaps and gear hit save and away I went. Ideas for articles in RCM&E
Anthony Billings replied to David Ashby - Moderator's topic in RCM&E Magazine
As I am about ready to start a "trad build" an article on what you need i.e. type of building board, fuse jig, tools and glues would be good, and as previously mentioned the differing types of glue and where and how to use them would be very good. There are some excellent builders who we all follow avidly on the forum and in the mag, maybe you could persuade one or two to write up an article for us new to the building game to show us how it should be done properly. Looking good Chris, as you made a three piece wing, can I ask how you have secured the outer panels to the center piece. Tony -
Alex, that is the age old question, how tight is too tight??? It needs to be tight enough that there is no fluttering of the rudder in flight, and not bar tight so as to put a side loading on the servo output shaft. To get round this problem, some people use an "idler wheel" and then connect the servo to that, and others do not bother. If you can get your trace wire so there is no slack, but not that tight so you can pluck it like a guitar string then you should be ok. TonyEdited By Anthony Billings on 01/02/2012 21:26:07

First heli suggestion - what should I buy?
Anthony Billings replied to John Marsh 2's topic in Helicopters
Hi, if the Syma 107G is a co-ax, then the MSR or it's big brother the Blade 120 is a good choice, both can come as RTF and I know for certain as I have one that I love to fly indoors that the MSR is virtually fly it out of the box. My son is just getting to grips with a Nano SR a copy of the MSR then when he is ready he will move up to the Blade 120. Heli flying the same as planes is very addictive, I know I have six, fortunately I have a very understanding wife. Tony -
First heli suggestion - what should I buy?
Anthony Billings replied to John Marsh 2's topic in Helicopters
NO! NO! NO! it is the same as the Syma 001 and it is CARP(excuse the spelling mistake) I had one when learning to fly heli's and it was the biggest waste of money going. If you want to buy him a descent indoor heli then the MSR, Atom or Nano SR are good choices, stay away from the T Rex 100. Tony -

Hi Andy, just read that post, I hope you are well on the mend mate, good luck and don't rush it, I was a year off work with my bypass and was going stir crazy, but it was the right thing to do, back at work and fighting fit as they say. Tony -
Had to run in compatability mode for some reason, the only thing I have changed recently is my anti-virus, strange as it let me post in other forums without changing to compatability mode???? Ah well, at least it is working again. Tony
