  1. Danny I'm just finishing up on the Warbirds replicas Hurricane, I thought it would be an easy quick build in between 'propper' builds but i might just as well gone straight in with a BT Hurri, I've changed so much on the WB's version it's taken an age to get right, well right'ish :) Cheers Walts
  2. Hi guy's, Danny, I don't know if you are a member on the RCMF forum, but there is a build of the BT Hurricane going on at the moment that might interest you. Heres a link http://www.rcmf.co.uk/4um/index.php/topic,28913.0.html Walts
  3. Peter, Why not try Brian Taylor direct. I know his winding down now, but he will still sell what he has stock of. I enquired recently about the MK1 spitfire. He will tell you straight what he has and what acessories he still holds. BRIAN TAYLOR Tel/Fax: +44(0) 1460 65694 - for plans, cowls, canopies, spinners etc. HTH Walts
  4. Hi Shaun, I'm sorry mate, When pepole talk about the 6EXA I thought it was the same basic model with other letters referring to it's use i.e. aircraft, helecopter etc. I didn't realise that the system had been upgraded from the original model. I've just searched the web for both 6EXA and 6EXAP manuals and you are quite right the 6EXAP is a latter model which incorperates this function, the 6EXA does not. Sorry again to have raised your hopes. I only bought mine last year to replace my long suffering Challenger sets. Walts
  5. Yep Shaun, the 6EXAP page 10-11 0f the manual. Hold down both keys, select the memory no., press select key, chose character for first digit using data input lever, move to next digit by pressing select key and so on...... HTH Walts EDIT sorry press select key 3 times to get into name menu (At stage 3 of above)
  6. Quote from Shaun Chant My only complaint is the model memories can't be named. Shaun as Malcolm mentioned you can programme names upto 4 digits, It's not great but it's enough for me to know whats on memory 1 to 6. I've got two Thunderbolts so ones Thud and the other is simply Jug. Me remembering which one i call what is the confusing bit :) Walts

  12. Hi John, A little late i know but............The other thing that makes 3 blade props inefficiant (sp) is the fact that the third blade is working in already disturbed air. I have flown a 64" Thunderbolt with a 4 blade prop on an RCV 90sp and it flew with authority but those engines have 2:1 gearing and are designed to swing large scale like props with quite corse pitches. I'm going to use the same engine with a 3 blade prop on my 61" Hurricane shortly, But then again a two blade prop on this engine would need to be 18" dia. to keep the engine revs within spec. and would probably be to powerful. 13. I think in general pepole with fat wallets can afford to scoff at 'lesser' brands. The likes of O.S. & Satio are unquestionably of the highest quality. But i have personally found nothing wrong with S.C. 4 strokes, take a bit of care when running them in and they will perform faultlessly.I'm currently running two SC52's and they have never let me down.
