  1. Hi all has anybody out there had a problem mixing futaba sevos and jr servos,I know I recently had a big problem at least I think thats what happened,I built a flair hannibal installed futabas for elevator, rudder, motor, went too the local model shop wanting too purchase two futabas for ailerons, shop owner persuades me to take jr 591,s (good torque good price etc)My friend a modeller 40 years told me that I might get away with this set up but out of the blue get bit some day and boy did I,straight and level flight and she takes a notion too roll left then right then death spiral BANG ps.sometimes when Iwould switch her on the ailerons would flutter sometimes they wouldnt, was it the servos?
  2. Hi geo I fly the cm pro spitfire 72" using all 3001 servos but was advised by a fellow modeller to use 3010 high torque on elevator so I did and she is A1 my mate has been ripping up the sky with the same set up with 3 years no problem.
  3. Hi all I have built quite a few kits in the past and found the flair scout series too be very good quality kits.I learned too fly on a magnatilla and it took massive abuse, heavy landings and worse, also I found them very repairable planes would recommend this scout too anyone, covered in solartex its a very strong rough field aeroplane and a doddle too fly.
  4. Cheers Dave test flew her last weekend ran a 16 by 6 2blade on an os 91 very happy with performance, think i,ll stick too that for now.
  5. yes Stephen i bought a kit one time and the instructions advised me too balance the aircraft by simply drilling two holes in a square of ply , stick in two pencils rubber side up,sit the plane up on this, very simple, very effective, costs nothing.
  6. cheers dave, balanced it inverted, test flew the spit today no problem,I agree with you on the c of g machine, great investment its too clumsy a job with fingers, sometimes we are inclined too move the fingers a little forward or back too convince ourselves that the balance is correct ha ha ha
  7. my acrowot has out lasted scores of chinese takeaways, its battery failed one sunday morning crashed too earth suffered no more than a broken prop and the wing holding down plate popped out(20 minutes work) Had this been a artf Im pretty sure I could have taken it home in my pockets.
  8. hi just finished my spitfire one guy tells me too balance it upside down the other tells me too balance it upright both of these lads have been modelling with many years what do you think
