  1. I firstly must admit that this is a debate that can go round with circles. It is funny because I had the same argument with some one else a few weeks ago (my dad) when I brought a Twister V2 CP. I Fly in Birmingham and everybody flies mode 1. the reason is because "it puts your primary controls on two separate sticks i.e. aileron and elevator" I have only been flying for just over a year now and flown mode 1 but when i got the helicopter it was on mode 2 so that is how i started flying it but is was hell of a lot easier to fly (I think anyway). I have heard millions of arguments on this subject. control sticks don't work well in a diagonal motion ? - Don't ASK! Made to feel like flying a proper plane. separate primary controls. these are just some.  I suppose we could always throw mode 3 and 4 in to confuse and cause greater debate. (flown mode 3 as well)  Stephen (by the way I fly whatever just as long as I can fly )
  2. Must say that it is fantastic and really reliable but not only for aircraft but boats and cars as well. Futaba are bringing a 7CAP 2.4ghz set which will come with digital servos and 607FS receiver. It is thought to have a RRP of £275 but this is not for certain. Stephen
  3. Hi Martin, My dad used to do the same when he was my age (16) he flew gliders up there and was one of the first ones up there to fly on 35mhz. Stephen
  4. Hi All yet again, Got the kit a couple of weeks ago but havn't made any progress (too busy playing with my new Twister CP heli) Does anybody have an Acro Wot finished in either film or resin. If you do could you let me know on the finished weight of it and what engine you have got in it. Thanks Stephen
  5. Count me in, I'd love somthing like this as it somthing different to my usual style of model and type of flying. Good luck every one ;-) Stephen
  6. Hi Mike I think the OS price drop is fantastic. Having a removable liner is very handy and for £67 it is a great price. Nice to hear that your wing has no splitting. On another forum a guy from abroad had a WOT 4 i think it was and it had a split wing and Chris Foss replaced the wing and paid the £25 postal cost himself. I am getting a little agitated for mine to arrive but I do have a few little projects that want looking at - planes need an overhaul, Engines need running in and other things. I can't remember if you have already mentioned this, but I shall still ask you - Which kit have you gone for, is it the standard or the deluxe with fibre glass cowl and U/C? Stephen
  7. Hi Alex, Is the sky 40 the one done by SLEC? Is the engine your are referring to a Four stroke? If it is I would recommend you go for an OS or SC 52 four stroke or 42-46 size two stroke as the are equivalent to each other. Hope this is some help, Stephen
  8. I have a TT46 Pro in my trainer and I have never Had an issue with it. It starts first time, Fantastic performance and It has had well over 5 hours of running time. I have brought another two TT46 Pro's, one for the acro wot and the other for future projects. I must agree that the OS engines are a fantastic buy but some model shops are still charging full whack but hey that's them. The only TT engine I have had problems with was the TT GP42 which was a nightmare to run in and fly. The other thing i noticed was that the needle settings were extremely delicate. I also have a TT GP15 for a spitfire- Yet another project that is in progress. Off the top of my head I can't remember but is the OS 46AX ball raced? Still it is only £7 more expensive than the TT46 pro at RRP which does make them great value. Does anybody have a GMS engine as I am curious to see what they are like. Happy building :-) Stephen
  9. Hi Mike, Mine is still on order with Mikes and I am waiting for it to arrive from the factory. In the mean time I have a Vision EP to build hopefully in time for the Greenacres Electric Fun fly. What have you started to build? and what engine have you gone for? I have gone for the TT46 Pro, they are fantastic and great value for money :-) Hope to get the Acro Wot soon and get building and ready for next years flying season (I'm being hopeful, I will probably take me that long to sit down and start it) Finally out of curiosity what condition were the wings in? Happy Building, Stephen
  10. Hi engine doctor, Just out of curiosity where did the kit come from. I looked at one in Mikes Models and it was immaculate and when I went to buy it some sod brought it :-( Not worry I will have one for Thursday along with TT46 Pro engine. Also what are you going to cover it in? Stephen
