  1. Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Was will worth going to. Pilots were excellent. Looking forward to next years? Trade was lacking a little though. Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 19/10/2014 13:37:46
  2. To me, It doesn't need a category as such. It just needs the user to be able fly it safely. If you fly a quad while fixed wing aircraft are up, the user needs to be able to move it out of the way in the case of a deadstick etc. Someone asked me the other day if they should take off the prop guards, erm no!
  3. Not sure how you concluded this. The only thing that is definite is how your local club has chosen to categorise them. Your club has definitely given them a category of their own. The BMFA are also developing separate category A and B tests. Apologies to anyone else for the leakage of local club politics onto this forum. Edited By Gary Manuel on 08/07/2014 20:20:34 I've been reading this with interest, The majority of posts seem to mention it is more helicopter than fixed-wing. I myself believe it's a more helicopter than fixed-wing. IT's a VTOL to in my opinion. it takes off vertically, it lands vertically. It flies very similar to a heli. Not sure where club politics came in to the original post, it mentioned a debate as in most of the clubs are having a debate anyway. It was simply a fixed wing or helicopter question. No one had to mention which or what club.
  4. Hi Tony, Thanks for your thoughts on the service. I do personally think there is nothing worse than not having a clue about your order. And not having any idea of what is happening until it drops on the door step.  Best RegardsTj
  5. I kinda been experimenting with the SkyArtec Skyfun jet too.Stock motor was poor, although a 1800mah 3s was still 50% full after a 15 min flight. The jet itself was slow and boring, so I thought lets see how far we can push it. Added some carbon fibre rods (why it isn't supplied with any is beyond me lol.) The esc was changed for an 80A from the stock 25A.The motor was changed to an 2836 2350kv 3S-4S Next was prop, stock prop was 6x4 extrememly flexy, this was changed to a 5x5e and then to a rigid 6x4. I know the Esc is a bit overkill but for experimenting purposes it works well Batteries tested have been a 1800 25c 3s, 2200 30c 3S, 2100 35C 3S And the most fun so far is the 1800 40C 4S, although it gets quite warm.  I'll have to run it through the watt meter again, as i've forgotten the watts and amps. It's ballistic now, unlimited vert, gets small pretty quick. But I think the excitement has worn off now.
  6. Hi Tony, Thank you,Have just updated your order status. Best RegardsTj
  7. Hi Chrisie, The A10 comes with edf units, so haven't got round to ordering any has yet.I have a couple of motors that it recommends, but needed to check they fitted. There is a slight issue in the fitting, that would require a small bit of filing on the edf unit (where the lip on the motor is that the shaft protrudes from.)  Other than that the mounting screw diameters are a perfect fit. Best regards Tj
  8. Hi Tony, Just sent a reply back for you.:D
  9. Hi Tom, I opened it in Dec '10.Still some improvements to be made,But has I have made the site myself, I'm going to be picky lol.  Just don't seem to have the time these days to make any changes or improvements. Most will only be subtitle improvements that no one would notice though.  Tj

  11. Posted by Allan Bowker on 11/09/2011 22:00:43: Thanks Ben, that's the one I was thinking of, especially with the business advertising in RCM&E Nice to see prices are fair and with free postage for orders over £100  Hopefully TJ can confirm that this is the correct URL, we have to be careful that we review the correct business.  I can confirm this is the correct website.  All orders are sent sameday where possible, and all via a signed for method. Our biggest order so far was supplying some 4s lipos to power onboard cameras for a certain race on the Isle of Man.
  12. Please send us a pm if you would like to see any of our testimonals.Or even if you have any questions etc.  Best Regards Tj
