Thanks for the reply. I have not got around to running it yet but it's back in the plane and ready to go. Come the winter I may send it in for a rebuild but depends how the rattles get along.

Just reinstalling the motor in the model now, it's an unusual issue, checked piston and everything is tidy with no marks or scores. I'm going to run it again for a few flights as if breaking in again and hopefully be ok, a friend says his dle rattles too when cold.

Hi. Prop bolts are all tight, makes a slight clicking when backplane and valve are removed, crank and bearings look good so think it may be the Conrod into piston

Hello everyone. I've a zdz 40re engine I think is the old f3a rear exhaust version, it only has a few tanks through it but has developed a rattle when I spin the prop, there's no play in the bearings and is starting and running fine, doesn't sound like conrod play as tdc is fine. I've been told the rotary valve engines rattle when the plate/disc is loose but I can't find much information online at all, spoke to zdz in Europe who said to check the rotary valve. I have pulled the rear crankcase and carb off, bearings, rotary plate and Conrod look fine. Thanks in advance. Tom

hi, i have the seagul cap 232 with a 120 asp 4stroke in it, lovely model and really looks the part on the ground and in the air. it does however have a habit of flicking to the side if i pull hard elevator hard and will tip stall on landing but not too bad once you get the hang of it. it's not a 3d plane although it will do all the aerobatics and knife edges very well.   Edited By tom clarke on 01/07/2012 22:09:22

hi delta, you should leave one pipe open so air replaces the fuel as it leaves the tank, i use 3 lines on my 50cc, 1 to engine 1 to fill 1 open breather, i have a one way valve on the breather so it doesnt drip fuel everywhere but can still draw air inwards

hi people, i am doing a peak models yak with dle 30 motor and and the cannister goes inside the fus, the conern i have is that the pipe passes just an inch below the fuel tank with just 3mm ply seperating the hot pipe and gas tank..... will the heat from the exhaust go up to the tank and cause a problem?

hi everyone, anybody have a view the global rc yaks, just sold my slipstream sbach 50cc but now im undecided between the yak54 and the yak55m with bubble canopy, im going with a 30cc dle. had added post on the slipstream/goldwing forum but whats the best one for 3d flying?

Thanks engine doctor. Will solder put the choke plate later. Using a 4.8v 2200 nimh. Changed the ignition module and no joy. Just waiting for new plug in the post, using a chamion plug at the moment. Great power when it's running but when is the big word.

Hi. I'm having trouble with my crrc50cc gasser. Takes ages to get started then cuts after 5mins flying. Put new ignition in last weekl, got her started up and tuned perfectly... Just knocked it off to refuel and the damn thing took half an hour to restart. Also the choke does not prime properly. Wondering if a carb from another engine like dle or evolution will fit and work???

hi lads, sorry to jump in here but does anyone know how to set an opto kill switch on the futaba 10c, using a 6014 rx?? works perfectly on my 7ch transmitter and rx but refuses to function on any channel of the 10c and 6014 rx... although a servo moves when plugged into rx and the switch flicked, also i tried putting end point adjustment to full head melting trying to do this thing, ultymate has told me to use signal booster but i am not up to speed on these things...
