How about an article on torsion springs for pull only control surfaces? No slop around center, light weight. What diameter wire for different control surfaces? How long is the torsion leg?Is the C bend all in one plane, or offset? At what airspeed does blow back overcome the torque of the spring? The DLG glider folk seem to use this technique a lot- others much less so.
How much extra current drain is there from the servo having to constantly work against the spring whetn the contol surface is at neutral.
What are the pros and cons for rudder, elevator, aileron, and flap using this approach.
I'd love to see a well-witten aritcle covering this information.
