    MB.3

hi Pertime, Thanks for your input. i believe your top drawing shows the MB.3 in the Napier Sabre final configuration however it was never built. there are a few fake photos out there in that configuration.  Look at the relationship of the wheel to the LE edge in this photo.

    MB.3

Hi Simon, You have confirmed what I was thinking, thanks. It appears to work on paper, see drawing, but it is a lot ‘that’s my best guest’. This was why I was looking for a plan of the underside.

    MB.3

Got the Aeroplane Monthly article, thanks.' the problem is none of the info I have shows the under wing.
  8. I’ve been working on a model of the Martin Baker MB.3 for some time now and I believe my under wing detail is wrong. I plotted the location of the under wing radiators and fully retracted undercarriage from the best 3 view drawing I could find. I’ve since read that MB may have used the wing from the MB.3 on the MB.5 however I believe this to be wrong as the rear of the U/G clashes with the radiators positions. As anyone got any detail of the underside of the MB.3 main wing. Many thanks
  9. Scratch built MB.3, electric, 62 inch span
  10. Hi Guys, I'm sure that in the last 6 9 months i read an article on retract geometry.  How you set up the angle when installing in the wing, i think it was in RCME but not sure.  Does anyone know what mag it was in ??  Thanks for your help.
  11. Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question? but here we go.  Has any one done an electric converison on this model?

  18. Hi Never used a forum before so here we go I’m sure that few years back I was watching a programme on Sky TV called super model about the design and construction of a large RC warship in one of the early episodes the plan (scaled drawing) was being developed from photos of the original ship at sea. I believe that they were saying that if an element was half way down the ship in the photo that was equal to 1/3 along the ship on the elevation plan? My question is does any one out there know how to take information from photographs and convert back into dimension or lengths that can be used to draw elevations and plans. I hope to use this technique to design and build old obscure planes. Is there software that will allow me to plot points on a perspective photo and convert them to plan and elevation views?
