  1. sorry to hear you've had difficulty ordering parts from us - we were unaware of this. If you would like to order parts online, please visit our website at www.myhobbystore.com , or you can send us an email to [email protected] . We hope to hear from you soon. The Plans Service.
  2. Hello, I'm afraid there isn't a cowl available for this model. Please feel free to contact us at the plans service, /forum/smilies/tongue_out_smiley.gif[/img][email protected]][email protected] for any future hardware requirements.  Happy Christmas! The Plans Service Team
  3. Could someone who really understands the Gigaherz RF frequency range explain why it is necessary to use this frequncy to obtain the advantages that this system appears to offer i.e. no crystals to change and automatic selection of a free frequency? I well remember the "freedom" we were going to have on the 459MHz UHF frequencies that did not happen because of "line of sight" propagation, reflected signals, microphonic crystals high current consumption etc. The systems were announced with a fanfare and died without even a whimper. Surely these receivers and transmitters still have to have crystals in order to synthesise the multiple frequncies they can operate on. Doesn't the even higher frequncy of these systems increase the directional and reflectivity problems? Why can't I have the same thing on 35MHz?
  4. I have checked out the X-List archive and find RM19 listed but not scanned. That means that they haven't actually verified that the drawing although listed exists. Try them for an order anyway. Bill Burkinshaw
  5. Dave Harbour: the illustrations for plans go back very many years, it is virtually impossible to obtain updated photographs. To provide better quality is equally impossible - we could re-scan the original phots we have but that would be a major undertaking with limited commercial worth. Plans Service is after all, a business.
  6. Magicalia can almost always supply a photostat of the original plans article. It obviously helps if a reference to the publication date is given but Plans Service has a record of when most plans were published going back to the 1940s.
  7. Rcuniverse is wrong. Whilst there are 2000+ plans on the X-List, these are not the full list, they are the drawings that were dropped by Nexus a few years ago. They are the plans that have almost zero sales but which X-List felt were worth keeping for historic reasons. Occasionally there is a flurry of interest in a drawing as it is "re-discovered" but very few of the X-List have reached double figure sales in the 6 years it has been running.
  8. Les: I ran the Argus/Nexus Plans Service for many years as part of my job with MAP/Argus?Nexus and they recently dragged me out of retirement to help get it back on song. I am running the Plans Service for Model Boats, Model Engineer, RCM&E, Woodworker and that includes virtually all of the plans that were ever available. No catalogue yet, that is up to the bosses of Magicalia but the website will be up and running soon.
  9. If you know which 3 view you want, ring us at the Plans Service and ask, we will check for you. Our big problem is knowing what the scales are. Many of the drawings were scanned at odd sizes and the conventional 1/72, 144 etc no longer apply. Bill B
  10. To all RCM&E Readers: all the plans that are currently in the range will soon be loaded onto a new website - I guess it will be linked to this one. Address is www.myhobbystore.com. There is still a lot of work to be done in getting the list up to date but it is being done. I hope that many of the parts such as cowls, canopies and foam wings will also be available before too much longer. You can email orders to us at [email protected] or phone our direct line 01296 730691 with your order 9.00 am to 3.00pm.
