Fond memories. Have recently returned to RC flying after too many years away. Before hanging up my old MacGregor Tx in the 70's the Student was the last plane I built and flew. The wings are still in my son's garage but the fuselage disintegrated. The student had huge wings due to the chord which made it very stable yet quite aerobatic. I once folded the wings but a clean break rendered it repairable. Since returning to the hobby I have been trying to locate a plan to build a new fus so thanks for pointing out the source. I flew it with a 40 and it was fine, the main bugbear was the undercarriage, very primitive. An untouched kit sold for about £160 on eBay recently.
