  1. Welcome back Danny, you have been sorely missed! Really looking forward to the maiden of your Auster. Mine still hangs from my garage roof waiting, after I completed it 15 months ago. I think it will be next year before it reaches the field now as I am a warm weather flyer only!
  2. Hi Dwain, I am currently battling with the front glazing on the DB Auster and your pictures a great help thanks. Did you glue the top glazing in place or use screws as in the front? Two separate kit reviews I have are not that clear to me. I would prefer not to glue but cannot see where I could screw it down. Thanks, Chris
  3. Hi Erfolg, I think you have a Viburnam bodnantese “Dawn” .You could cut it hard back to 12 inches of stump and if watered and fed it might shoot. If not I think a replacement is required.
  4. Thanks Colin, Your models seem a bit large for the Hall I use which is why I chose the liddlebug as a starter. I have posted some pics showing part construction. On holiday now for two weeks so progress nil but will update when finished and flown. Thanks for the suggestions however. I live near Peterborough and am thinking of trying their indoor sessions this winter in a larger hall which will give me more scope to build bigger. Chris
  5. Hi Conrad, i decided it was time to build a model myself after flying several ARTF’s and Helis indoors. I had the motor and electrics available from a night vapor which had been donated by a club mate so went for the liddlebug from Micron rc. Although I have built quite a few balsa models over the years this has proved challenging due to it’s size. It seemed very fragile to start with but fits together well and when coated with eze cote the fuselage is proving to be more robust. The wings are built but await covering using oracover light. Has anyone else built and flown one? Chris Stevenson Edited By Chris Stevenson on 21/09/2019 17:38:45
  6. Please can someone explain why I am required to purchase the autumn special out today for £4.99 when I have a recurring subscription for 13 issues per year. Will there be another Autumn 2019 mag as well as the “Special”? thanks, Chris
  7. I’m sorry but I am unable to help as I decided to stick with ic and fitted an OS 95 and didn’t pursue the electric route. I would be interested to hear how it goes if you do go electric.
  8. This months mag has information about a new fuel proof paint called Chroma. It is described as enamel based so does anyone know if that means special thinners are required for cleaning and spraying? I’ve checked the web without success.
  9. One of the best films I’ve seen in years, Gary Oldman’s portrayal thoroughly deserved the BAFTA which he won last Sunday. I understand members of Churchill’s family have described his acting as the most accurate to the great man they have ever seen.
  10. Thanks Richard and Beth, problem resolved satisfactorily. Best wishes to all at RCM&E. Chris
  11. Hi Pete, it is showing available this morning, if I am willing to part with £6.99. Chris
