  1. Nice one Robin. Looks quite intresting, but one question. Where do You fix the cat??
  2. Everything could be ok - I saw bigger bid few seconds before it ended and tried to give more, but eBay loaded my bid too late. Ehhh, almost free carb and nice piston key ring have gone... Sniper You say... Will do a research about that. Cheers Tom

  5. Hi guys. Simple question - who took the engine from me just few seconds before listing ended?? For winner's information - now I have to bid again to get the needle valve assy! Not very nice at all it was Link to auction - **LINK**
  6. Ooops, I didn't notice the date of Your first post . But it doesn't change the fact that You're crazy builder.   Regards Tom Edited By Major on 17/03/2013 10:53:50
  7. You're crazy Darryl. Just finished one jet, now Mosquito... Your speed is very impressive. Cheers Tom
  8. Wow, that shrinks a lot!! Russ P How did You check that covering is fuel-proof? Cheers Tom
  9. Good to hear that maiden was uneventful - congratulations!
  10. My first flight took place about two years ago, with cheap, 2-ch heli from Aldi store. It flew few minutes and finished as aquarium ornament. After this one Ipurchased 3-ch Syma S107G, I have it fully flyable till now. Later was eRC Micro Spitfire. I had some flights with it, and just when I purchased four additional batteries - its gone. Anyway, that was enough for me to swallow the hook. Cheers Tom
  11. Thank You all for posts - it helpes a lot and makes choice even harder. Phil Green thanks for link to the collection. BF-109 from there is very tempting and I happen to have working engine for it. I also forgot the Mini Tyro. I buid one in the bast. but my kids dealt with it befre it got covered.. Re PANDAS meeting - thanks for invitation. I'd like to come, but I guess none of my models will be SC. In many cases my Sharkface wth Golden Bee up front was rescued just thanks to elevator... I also did check Den's and Vintage Aircrat Model Company. There are some models I will build for sure in short future, as the engines started coming. Baby Bee on its way, most probably I will get Testor McCoy today and few other Bees and little OS later on. Spring is coming and I'm getting mad slowly... Cheers Tom
  12. Martin I checked on YT... In many aspects this movie is like Star Wars and if someone is masochist I'd recommend it. Here is the link to Concorde scenes from this movie
  13. For me the moment of stall appears when I have to sand leading and trailing edges. It started when I built my first Sharkface and still this putts me off. I just hate it the most - due to my alergy, mainly to dust, I cry every single time I sand anything. All the rest - installing gear, covering etc is the big pleasure to me.
  14. Wow, this could be built in no time - all balsa sheet construction. Plan downloaded and added to waiting list. Thank You Peter! By the way - what could You tell me about Testor McCoy engines? Are they any good? Tom
  15. PatMc Thanks for pics. This one looks great. Elevator - ok to me, but why electrify it?? Ken Thanks for link. I used this site in the past a few times, but for some reason - forgot about it. Denis might have some nice machines. Cheers Tom
  16. Dave There was some more things that differ. Four ailerons, wing tips and flattened (or lowered, whichever is correct in English) front part of fuselage (due to armament). D.III had also flat wings, with no dihedral. D.I and D.II had it, and were too stable in comparision to opponents. However, You are right. There was no really big diference, from data I currently have I slowly work out all details that I need (but of course publication about D.III would great...). Now I am intrested in the tail (stiching and construction on a model) and size of service plates. Cheers Tom
  17. Hugh Thanks for heads up. Will pay attention to that. I stil lok for publications and pictures of this aircraft. I wanted to order **LINK**, but unfortunately there is nothing about D.III Regards Tom
  18. Thank you all gents for answers - now I know what I want to build and what to look for. Have downloaded some plans already. God, I have the wood, but give me the time
  19. Got already some plans from Outerzone. Now I fancy BF-109 for OS .10FP, but for Cox I think it will be Hornet. Not aerobat, but somehow intresting     Edit: Cheap fun looks good, but it's the kit... Edited By Major on 14/03/2013 22:14:58 Edited By Major on 14/03/2013 22:15:58
  20. Thanks for direction rActive. By the way - what 1/2A means?? Cheers Tom
  21. Hi all.   I need some advice. What model could be ok for little Cox .049 engines? In next few days I will receive Baby Bee and there is a possibility to get about five more. I would look for something simmilar to Sharkface - little vintage aerobatic planes or even bipes. Any thoughts?   Cheers Tom Edited By Major on 14/03/2013 21:35:50
  22. Well, what can you do?? Every time I watch any documentary, I keep my mind open. I would even say that some of them are like legends - contain just a little seed of true. If anybody wants to check what I mean - go to youtube and search for "Wings of Russia", episode about jets and Valley of the Migs for example (entire series is just... strange in my opinion) The best documentaries in general are about Battle of Britain, but The Untold Battle of Britain is one of my favourites . Cheers Tom PS. This post by no meaning has anything in common with politics, so please don't get me wrong.
  23. Hi mate. Good build so far. As to the fuel proofer, check http://balsamart.co.uk .They have quite good selection, I'm sure you will find something. I personally used just Aerokote - two part fuel proofer and could recommend it. Just remember to add a little more catalyst than is says on the label. Cheers Tom Edited By Major on 13/03/2013 16:12:44
